This safety approval marks an exciting step forward on our journey to commercialization, and I’m excited of what’s ahead for @DeepFission.
Our CEO and co-founder Liz Muller joined @BNNBloomberg this morning to discuss our recently approved Nuclear Safety Design Agreement (NSDA) as part of the @ENERGY's Reactor Pilot Program.
This approval confirms that the foundational safety basis of our Gravity™ #Nuclear Reactor design warrants advancement to the next stage of development. She also provides a look at our technology and our pathway to commercialization.

JUST IN ➡️ @ENERGY has approved @DeepFission's Nuclear Safety Design Agreement (NSDA) for our Gravity™ Nuclear Reactor.
This marks an important regulatory milestone under the DOE's Reactor Pilot Program, confirming that the foundational safety basis of our reactor design warrants advancement to the next stage of development.
Our Parsons, Kansas, project is not designed as a one-time criticality demonstration. Our intent is for the demonstration reactor to transition to a fully Nuclear Regulatory Commission-licensed commercial operating unit, delivering electricity after initial testing and DOE authorization.
This reflects our commitment to building a direct, credible path from demonstration to commercial deployment.

The @DeepFission team has successfully fabricated and tested our first prototype reactor canister, achieving an important milestone on our path toward deployment.
The testing confirmed that the canister meets key industry requirements for structural integrity and leak tightness.
This canister will support testing of the integrated assembly, installation, and retrieval of a full-scale #nuclear reactor system within a borehole.
As we continue advancing these demonstrations, we're building the capabilities needed to validate our deployment approach to deliver reliable, affordable energy from one mile underground.
