🎥 The #EACVI Stress Echo tutorial series is now online! Happy to contribute a case-based tutorial on #HFpEF & #CPETecho. When resting evaluation is inconclusive, exercise may reveal the answer. Explore the full series! 👇 escardio.eu.crossknowledge.c…

A small but interesting study. Supports the prior observation that the incidence of left ventricular thrombus peaks at around 2 weeks post-MI. Would this change your practice? doi.org/10.1093/ehjci/jeag26…

This is a confusion in usage that is difficult to undo following the American directive. I am very pleased with your decisive role in this inappropriate use of LASr.
Sorry, but LASr is mainly MAPSE, i.e. a measure of LV systolic function, not a diastolic functional measure.

Philips invented a very good segmental analysis and it seems not to use strain. It's very accurate compared to an experienced echocardiographer.

Curious to watch it. I'm of the opinion that a teacher trained in 2D will always use 2D to understand 3D. I believe the right approach would be to use 3D as the reference and 2D for the details

The website is live at intro2echo.com and the github is at github.com/douyang/echodemo It was really fun to make the free movement - the video doesn't do it justice, but you can free move both the TTE and TEE probe and it'll generate the 2D image in according to the 3D model. There's a couple of chapters on common echo concepts and common diseases. Would love feedback!
I'm almost ready to share it, but Claude Code is very good at keeping consistency across views and chapters. For example, I can specify a heart phenotype, and will make all the images consistent and physiologically plausible. Even with unlimited time, I don't think I could create such a nice tutorial!
