I am so happy that Bernie Sanders is with us today to be able to see the fruits of his labor. He cultivated a whole generation of young leaders through the movement he spawned who are now winning seats everywhere. And he gets to live to witness it. Thank you, Bernie.
my first phone bank ever was with @poweredxpeople in 2020 w/ @BetoORourke. i talked to voters throughout the state and had surprisingly sincere and open conversations. it’s the reason i kept signing up for phone banks and canvasses. people were willing to listen.
sometimes, you need to play the long game. it’s conversation by conversation. some people have never had a campaign reach out to them at all. every one of these interactions is worth our time and it’s how people’s minds change en masse.
