Summary of political differences in my world: Cons are annoyed by humanity but love people. Libs love humanity, but are irritated by people

People really seem to struggle with the difference between "wealth" and "cash on hand"-- a huge (but likely intentional) failure of our education system.

It is wild to me that the rules got changed with 11 days to go until the election. Basically, the state PDC just said we are in the fourth quarter at the two minute warning, and suddenly you can play with 30 players instead of 11.
Welcome to a new era of Washington state politics.
On Friday, 11 days before the election, Washington's Public Disclosure Commission announced it will stop enforcing the $7,500 cap on last-minute PAC donations. Ballots are already out. @kirocharlie on why a decision this big shouldn't land quietly on a Friday.

If you asked me to bet, my bet would be a lot of the color revolution rhetoric we're seeing from the Left right now is meant to hypersensitize the Right so the Right will overreact over the relatively small provocations the Left will offer.
That is, they're turning the Right into a powder keg so that they only have to provide the fuse to get it to blow up and destroy America and Trump.
Leftists script their enemies' reactions into their plans. That's the actual word they use for what they're doing in their own books.

To state the obvious: If the @nytimes *only* wrote stories to help Democrats, they wouldn’t have written this one. My guess is they just guaranteed @DanSullivan_AK re-election. And they devoted a lot of investigative resources to do it.
Fantastic reporting by @nytimes @Kellen_Browning on Alaska Senate race.
Extraordinarily great writing too.
Will impact the race, I believe.
A lot of people seem to have reacted to being exposed by lying.
The reckoning will be ugly for @MaryPeltola

Nobody ever votes illegally in WA
Well it’s only 4 people
It’s only 400 people <— we are here!
It’s only 4000 people <— coming soon?

Weird how the gas price map of the US is like the inverse of the political map of the US.
Hmm. Probably nothing!

WATCH: CNN's Dana Bash, Mark Preston, and Alayna Trenne DEFEND Alaska Democrats and Mary Peltola's campaign after The New York Times bombshell confirms they worked with national Democrats to find another "Dan Sullivan" to run in #AKSen to confuse voters
“So, this is not illegal. It is not new”
“Listen, two things you said very important. It’s not illegal and it’s not new.”
“I use the term dirty tricks intentionally because it’s — it’s not illegal. This is something that — is untoward. It is something that Democrats have tried to do in races where they think it could be to their advantage to run candidates that could siphon votes away from Republicans and Republicans do the same. I mean, just in Alaska alone, Mary Peltola, who’s now on the ballot for the senate, she lost her House race two years ago. On that ballot, there was a candidate who was literally in prison who was reportedly recruited and — and kept on the ballot at the behest of Republicans. There’s a socialist running in Ohio with the hopes of taking votes away from the Democrat, Sherrod Brown. These are dirty tricks. They are legal, dirty tricks. But again, at a time when you have a President and his — supporters, particularly those with very big platforms, trying to undermine the election, and Alaska is a potentially key and even pivotal, pivotal Senate seat that could determine the outcome of the control of the Senate, it’s a big deal.”
“It’s absolutely a big deal, and I think there’s no question, despite as you all have pointed out, and I think it’s worth saying, again, this was not illegal, something that [Republicans] are going to blow up.”

Seattle City Attorney Erika Evans ran and won last year as a strong progressive, so it was no big surprise when she announced a couple weeks ago she is reinstating a version of a therapeutic community court, where non-violent offenders are diverted to try to get them the help and services they need rather than face punishment.
And given that this is Seattle, you might expect that Evans’ new “Connections Court” would replicate the ridiculous neo-abolitionist Woke 1 principles that undergirded Seattle’s previous version of community court, formed in 2019, where there were essentially no consequences for not showing up (and no meaningful help offered to those who did), which is what led Evans’ Republican predecessor to unwind it.
But you would be wrong.
Erika Evans just joined us on @RealSeattleNice (link to follow) to explain why she’s making “accountability” a centerpiece of the new court, why she is also implementing a new approach to get tougher on repeat offenders, and why she liked what she saw on a recent visit to San Francisco regarding the new less permissive approaches to street disorder they’re putting in place there.
Even in Seattle, vibes are shifting. Not the approaches you would have expected from the new progressive City Attorney!

You want to talk Nazi-adjacent? Your side just released an ad blaming Jews for the country's economic hardship.
John Oliver: “It does feel that the Republican Party has been getting way too comfortable with some, at best, Nazi-adjacent sh*t.”
“Nazis getting power doesn’t historically bode well for anyone, including, for what it’s worth, Nazis, who didn’t exactly have the best 1945.”

A Black couple stood on Business at their daughter’s softball game in Sugar Land, TX against an angry mob of white folks. They defended themselves… now they’re facing charges and the wife was forced to resign from her job as an assistant principal. I Hope they set up a GoFundMe.

This is am important clip because it shows you how far the conversation on illegal immigration has shifted. What Republicans are saying now was the accepted Democrat position under Bill Clinton. So what happened? How did the “open borders” cult move the needle so dramatically that nations are submitting to being invaded?
Smug liberal gets CAUGHT, throws a TANTRUM!
I asked him to react to Trump's speech promising to crack down on illegal immigration... It was actually Bill Clinton's 1995 SOTU speech where he said he would DEPORT THEM ALL!

What this kid did was horrific. The sentence is a travesty. I’m also from Washington where people who do this crap walk out of the courthouse regularly because the perps are poor and the victims are immaterial.
It’s all a cluster.
So I am going to make a completely strange observation: what on earth does “in his Tesla” have to do with this story?
Talk about Dog whistles. Sheesh.
I think this is a pretty disgusting miscarriage of justice. I feel for the Zauggs, and I’m sure their heart has broken over their son committing such a heinous crime. That doesn’t excuse his crime though. Krew Zaugg, a 22 year old returned missionary committed a violent sexual assault against a 15 year old girl. It’s not just to be sentenced only to a rider that will have him imprisoned less than a year.
He’s traumatized this girl for years to come, while he has a trip to Hawaii on bail - to get married - all the while this girl is in counseling for her rape. She will have repercussions for the rest of her life. This sentence is too lenient.

I'm just spitballing, but has anyone ever considered a policy that would just change the 6s in the credit scores to 8s? That would solve the problem without all this needless complication since the numbers carry no meaning or useful information.

The American left trained me for a generation to be a political activist and operative.
They absolutely LOVED me when I was on their side because I was EFFECTIVE. 30 years of experience and training, plus being an attorney? The American left loved it.
Now they want to vilify me because not only did I walk away from the Democratic Party, I walked away from trans.
I used to be their golden child. Now I’m their ultimate apostate.
When I speak about the American left and Democratic Party being corrupt and infiltrated by trans, I’m speaking from experience. I’m speaking because I was sitting in those meetings and rooms living it and watching it become captured.
I didn’t just read about politics on the internet either. I graduated from college with honors with a degree in political science.
I’m well read with a generation of real life political experience. You can attack and defame me all day, but I will be taking my time, training, talents, and energy elsewhere.
I will be taking all of that and fighting the very thing that took a generation of my young life.
They want to silence me so badly 🤣

You want to know the secret of not letting trumps idiocy bother me? I tune him out. I don’t pay any attention to his dumb rallies. I scroll past his moronic ramblings and just remember he’s on his way out. He’s in the rear view. The task at hand has nothing to do with him, it has to do with your state and who will represent you in D.C. I like most of the trump agenda and want to see it get passed. That’s why I voted all republican.

Chris Cuomo gets a stunning reality check after asking a Black voter in Detroit who he’s voting for in the Senate race.
The expression on Cuomo’s face was PRICELESS as Anton Daniels revealed he was voting for Republican Mike Rogers.
To add insult to injury, Daniels then dropped a brutal truth bomb about the Democrat Party and the Black voters running away from it.
CUOMO: “Do you believe people may be wrong if they assume that all Black voters will vote for El-Sayed because he’s considered another brown guy?”
DANIELS: “I think that they are. And the reason that I think that it is because it’s a lot of Black people that are waking up and realizing that voting Democrat does not necessarily mean that it aligns with your values.”

Labor & Industries investigated We Heart Seattle over how we safely collect needles and fentanyl foil during cleanups. Result: not guilty of any safety violations.
We’re vindicated and stronger than ever. Watch our wrap-up video and stand with us again. Thank you to everyone who covered this and had our backs. The work continues to save lives and save Seattle.
State of Washington is investigating We Heart Seattle for picking up the needles and fentanyl foil they hand out.
For six years we’ve removed hundreds of thousands of pieces of used drug paraphernalia from Seattle parks, greenbelts, and neighborhoods, the exact litter created by government-funded distribution programs.
Now L&I is investigating us for “improperly” collecting the same needles and foil that officials freely distribute and then leave for communities to deal with. This bureaucratic overreach will drain time and resources meant for cleanups and outreach.
If you believe this is hypocritical and want the work to continue, support us today: weheartseattle.org
We pick up what they drop. Don’t let them stop us.
