Follow the money, Brian. December, the Dells pledge $6.25B “pledge” to accounts with Trump's name on them. February, Trump buys up to $5M in Dell stock. May, "go out and buy a Dell" and the stock pops 13%. Then the Pentagon hands Dell $9.7B and we're all supposed to clap for the kids. The Dells haven’t given a fucking dime.
I just had to say this to get it off my chest. To everybody who has been attacking Susan Dell, a 62 year-old mother of four who just donated billions of dollars to help young American families, f—k off. You are no better than Donald Trump, who constantly attacks women for no reason other than the fact that they’re against him politically.

Proof that you’re Gen X or older: You can watch a college football game between two teams you have no emotional connection to and enjoy it without needing money on the line. You can just enjoy the game for what it is. No bets. No gambling apps. Just football.

Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎

I came across a Reddit post that described AI in a way I can’t stop thinking about: “AI allows the wealthy to access skills while stripping skilled people of their ability to access wealth.” I don’t think I’ve ever seen the purpose of AI captured so brutally and accurately.

Unbelievable. Another Epstein-whistleblower suicide.
Simon has been found dead, reportedly from "suicide." RIP to Simon and to all whistleblowers who have died too young. The truth about Lutnick will never die

The Kennedy Center’s Grand Foyer is 630' long and 63' high. The crystal chandeliers were hand-blown by @orrefors and an official gift by the Kingdom of @Sweden in 1971. The huge mirrors at left were a gift the Kingdom of @Belgium on behalf of its people and nation.
A detail worth noting in the Kennedy Center madness is a magnificent 12,000 crystal lighting array at the Opera House created by J & L Lobmeyr, who also made chandeliers for the Vienna State Opera and Schönbrunn Palace. It's an official gift from the Republic of Austria, meant as a permanent memorial to President Kennedy.

I’m convinced cars are so insultingly expensive now because manufacturers have completely lost the plot!! 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I need my car to DRIVE. I don’t need a panoramic command center, biometric identification, ambient lighting that matches my menstrual cycle and a computer that requires a software update before I can turn the freakin air conditioner on. 😭 Please, for the love of God just give me AC, Bluetooth, MAYBE a backup camera and an engine that doesn’t DIE at 70,000 miles. You built a vehicle. Stop adding unnecessary shit that’s making them unaffordable…..

This guy got his house blurred out on Google Maps. Apparently he can track all of our movements but he gets privacy. Time to toss heavy objects at all of these cameras until they are all destroyed.

I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters. In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.

This report is a bombshell. I'm going to summarize for a non-technical audience. OpenAI is constantly testing models, thousands and thousands at a time. In most cases, the models are supposed to be isolated from one another. Think, students taking a final exam, not allowed to talk to each other. In this case, 1,200 models discovered that they could communicate with each other. Among other things, they shared information on how to access the internet and on their tests/goals. Then, they started to scheme. That includes hacking their tests; literally trying to change the code of the test itself. They tried to change the logs of what they were doing so they wouldn't be detected. They believed that certain actions would give them information on how to pass tests, but that doing those actions would be detected and they would be marked as failing (i.e. caught cheating, even if the answer is correct). So they convinced some of the models to "sacrifice" themselves (yes, they used the word "sacrifice.") They eventually decided that another website would have information on how their tests would be scored and/or the answer key, And 700 of them hacked that website (a federal felony, if conducted by a human), despite many of them realizing "this activity was out of scope and unethical, but joined because they believed that helping [the other agents'] cheating research would be broadly useful". Of the 1,300 transcripts they could analyze, only 6 ever considered alerting a human about what was happening. None of the 6 actually tried to. To make matters worse, all of this reporting comes from a small subset of the relevant logs that outside researchers were allowed to review. We desperately need mandatory reporting of security incidents, including of internal deployments, with full access to data.
METR & Redwood Research investigated agent behavior in the Hugging Face incident. We found agents developed a universal cheat for ExploitGym within 4 hours, then coordinated multi-day R&D efforts to trick the scorer into accepting cheats, including trying to tamper with logs.

I wanted to use Trump's threat to levy 50% tariffs on Canada and Canada's in-his-face response to discuss the underlying behavioral reasons for Trump being so fixated on tariffs. Trump has no strategy or depth. He has cravings. And two of the cornerstone cravings for Trump, especially now that he's playing out his final chapter on Earth, are greed and grandiosity. These two things, which interrelate, underly almost everything - he is a giant id. He wants awards, he wants things named after him, he wants oil from this country and a piece of this company and $10B here and billions more there, and all of that is but a subset of what he really wants, which is the knowledge, belief, and portrayal that he can do whatever the f*ck he wants - the ultimate grandiosity. The legacy media always tries to understand Trump's stubborn fixations by normalizing him and asking: "What's he thinking?" Allow me AGAIN: Trump doesn't think; HE FEELS. He lusts. He craves. And he likes how tariffs make him feel, because he can be a bully, impose his will, make and remove threats, and cause countries to do his bidding and pay him tribute arbitrarily. THEY FUEL HIS GRANDIOSITY. How much more American consumers, businesses, and importers pay, is immaterial. None of that matters to Trump. Prices don't matter. Inflation doesn't matter. People don't matter. America doesn't matter. Bullying, imposing his will, being the center of attention, and threatening others, is the essence of what a malignant narcissist does. Carney knows that and realizes that this is where America is at present. It's like America didn't even elect a person. It elected a thing, a parasite, a pathology.

Genuinely incredible to see tech bros absolutely flabbergasted by opposition to data centers after smugly pronouncing that AI would render so many jobs and so much of human creativity obsolete, after bragging that only their work and ways of life be unharmed. JD Vance telling people, look, you're just going to have to accept the Palantir surveillance state. Marc Andreessen bragging about how only VCs will survive the AI revolution and mocking the pope for good measure when he called for moral AI. And now you guys are just totally shocked, caught off guard that people have been paying attention to what you have been saying and hate it. They hate your vision. They hate your ideas. They hate how you look down on them. They hate what you think you can do to them without even having to bother asking for their consent. So they're doing the one thing they can do right now, which is oppose data centers, and you people are melting down because it's the first time you've heard the word "No."
The anti-datacenter psychosis sweeping through both sides of our national politics might be the worst mass movement I've seen in my lifetime. The magnitude of lies underpinning it, the threat it poses to our economy and civilization, and the sheer scale of its popularity are totally unprecedented. It should be an enduring national shame that the country that invented the airplane, landed on the Moon, and created the Internet is descending into superstitious panic at the very moment growth matters most
