America didn't just steal the West from Mexico. We reached an agreement for it. Mexico's government was crashing. Their budget was 8 million pesos. Their expenses were 26 million pesos. This was obviously unsustainable.
The US offered to buy the land for what was worth $636 million in today's dollars. We also assumed all U.S. Citizen debts owed by Mexico (worth about $140 million today). Yes, we had defeated Mexico, and could easily have seized the land. BUT WE DIDN'T. We paid for it.
Six years later, Mexico wanted more money, so we made the Gadsden purchase which got us southern Arizona & New Mexico. This was another $350 million in modern value for land no one lived on. Eventually we got Tucson out of it.
So next time some activist tells you we "stole" land from Mexico, here is chapter and verse.
1) The treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was legally binding. Mexico signed it.
2) we paid for the land when Mexico needed the income. The purchased land was in fact a major drain on Mexico's finances, and it was a relief to the Mexican government to offload it back then. No doubt there is seller's regret now.
3) it was also paid for in blood.

I’ve been shitting on Social Security for years now, and every single time, I’m told ad fucking nauseam:
“It’s MY money! I paid into it!”
Really? Then why would we need to raise taxes on everyone else just to give you “your” money?
Because it’s NOT your money. Your money was spent almost as soon as it came in. Today’s workers are paying for yesterday’s retirees.
It’s a massive, government run Ponzi scheme. And now, one of the largest generations in American history is collecting benefits.
In a traditional Ponzi scheme, this is where everything implodes: when there aren’t enough new investors coming in to pay off the old ones.
But there’s one crucial difference.
This one is backed by the federal government.
And when there aren’t enough new people paying into the system, the government has something Bernie Madoff never had:
The power to force the next generation to pay more, at gunpoint.
Exactly like I’ve been saying for years.

Robin Hood wasn't re-distributing wealth.
He didn't steal from "the rich". He robbed the king and the king's cronies. These men had previously unjustly confiscated the peasants' property by force. When Robin Hood took those saddlebags of gold, he was returning the people's property.
He wasn't being charitable. He wasn't being socialist. He was rebelling against the state, and the state was well aware of it. That's why they treated him as an insurgency, not just bandits.
Now - consider this. Why are they trying to teach you the story the wrong way?

Many women are supporting Lindsay Clancy.
I thought it would be a great idea to pull together a list of 10 heroic women stood by for their love of their children. All of these are very recent stories.
A thread 🧵
1/10 October 26, 2021 — Chelsea/Gregory, Michigan
Single mother Mikala Vish repeatedly ran back into her burning second-story apartment to pull out her four children (ages 12, 6, 4, and 9 months). She suffered second- and third-degree burns over 60% of her body; her 6-year-old also had burns. Firefighters called it “the most heroic thing I’ve ever seen.” All four children survived.

For the love of heaven, LEARN THE DIFFERENCE. Rogue vs. Rouge is bad enough, but please learn the horde/hoard. Better, teach it to your family and friends.

I am sad to hear the news that author Will Murray has passed away. Not only was Will a tremendous writer, but a good guy. I enjoyed our chats, being in some of the same books together, and occasionally running into each other at cons. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Will.
