Anthropic has officially revealed in its IPO filing today that the company expects to spend up to $120.5 billion on @SpaceX SI compute through 2029. โ€ข Monthly payments up to $3.1B, or $37.2B annually. โ€ข SpaceX is expected to deliver all contracted computing capacity by Dec 2026. โ€ข Anthropic (and SpaceX) can terminate the agreements with 90 days' notice after the initial contract periods end in early 2027. Here's the exact wording directly from the filing: "Between May and October 2026, we entered into and amended several agreements with SpaceXAI to access compute powered by Nvidia GPUs. Under the SpaceXAI arrangements, we agreed to spend an aggregate of up to $120.5 billion over terms extending into 2029, consisting of approximately $3.1 billion in the aggregate per month once all capacity has been delivered, which we expect in December 2026, with different fees during capacity ramping periods. Following initial non-cancelable periods ending in January 2027 and March 2027 under the respective agreements, each agreement may be cancelled by either party upon 90 daysโ€™ advance written notice."

A Storm of Cybercabs
Wow, look at all these Tesla Cybercabs and Model Y Robotaxis heading back to base. This is the largest number of Tesla robotaxis ever seen together on public roads. Tesla is nearing 1,000 robotaxis registered in Texas to date.

France is the Bell Weather for the Westโ€ฆ
David Friedberg: Franceโ€™s Crisis Is a Warning for America โ€œFrance is a bellwether for the West. So take a look at this chart. This chart is a measure of public spending as a percent of GDP. And you can see the comparison of France's public spending as a % of GDP to the peak public spending as a % of GDP of major communist nations.โ€ @Chamath: โ€œSo do you think France is a communist state? They spend like it.โ€ @Jason: โ€œWell, it's certainly been a socialist state, right?โ€ Chamath: โ€œIs it working?โ€ @Friedberg: โ€œThat's my point. And I think this is such a prescient lesson for the West to look at. We all think that there's some political problem with Macron or whoever it was. The more the government spends, the worse the conditions get for its people, not the opposite, and then the people riot and revolt. Take a guess where the US is today. US public spending is roughly 36% of GDP. France today is operating its national government spending deficit is 5.4% of GDP. The US is actually 6.2% of GDP. France is, I think, probably the first to go because they're only growing their economy at half a percent while the US is growing at 2.3%. So we're still kind of hanging on because we have some degree of economic growth that's allowing us to kind of hold things together. But I would argue that we are facing the same sort of fiscal cliff which leads to this extraordinary social unrest as France. All the economic measures are aligned, we're at the same rate, we're at the same set of problems, and we're starting to see the cracks in the system. There's probably a multi-year solution.โ€

Everyone said "Hey Grok" was impossible on iPhone. Even Grok said Apple keeps wake words for Siri only. So I kept digging, and I found a way. Now I just say "Hey Grok" and Grok Bot voice chat opens. No extra apps, no cost, all built into iOS. How to set it up: 1. Make sure your Grok Bot app is up to date 2. Shortcuts app โ†’ + โ†’ Add Action โ†’ search "Grok Bot" โ†’ pick "Start Voice Chat with Bot" 3. Settings โ†’ Accessibility โ†’ Vocal Shortcuts โ†’ Set Up โ†’ pick that shortcut โ†’ type "Hey Grok" and say it 3 times 4. In the shortcut's details, turn on "Allow Running When Locked" If your phone is locked, iOS asks for one tap first. If Face ID already unlocked it, it's fully hands-free.

We are launching the Tesla Robotaxi safety report today. Till date, Robotaxi has driven a total of 3.3 million miles autonomously, and has had zero injuries nor airbag deployments. If the same number of miles were to be manually driven, we should expect roughly 9 injuries to the occupants or other pedestrians and 4 airbag deployments on average. We will continue to transparently share our progress with the public using this page. tesla.com/robotaxi/safety

Replying to @aaronburnett
We definitely need to explain this in detail. Veterans of the cellular industry look at the chess board of existing pieces and donโ€™t see a solution. They donโ€™t understand that SpaceX is developing entirely new pieces that fundamentally alter the strategic landscape.

True. You will be able to ask the Roadster to perform any of the tricks shown autonomously, as it will be sentient. Also, we will have a wild looping track (crazier even than Hot Wheels) at our Texas HQ where you can test out your Roadster.

Engineering Flex? Most definitely. No commercial value? Not so fast. First: the halo effect is invaluable. The Roadster is worth hundreds of millions spent on advertising. Millions have already seen this reveal. Millions more will. And, think outside the bounds of Earth. SpaceX is going to Space. Itโ€™s right there in the name. What will a Lunar or a Mars Base need? Rovers. Rovers that can leap across chasms. Rovers that can jump over piles of Boulders. The Roadsterโ€™s cutting edge tech will be useful. All Elon Muskโ€™s actions lead to Mars.
Two takeaways from tonightโ€™s Roadster event. 1. It was an engineering flex with no commercial value beyond embarrassing traditional car makers. 2. Elon canโ€™t wait to bring $TSLA and $SPCX together.
