„Have you considered switching to Angular?“
„Why not flutter?“
Why not just ignore the message and move on instead? Framework wars will never end

Didn’t now PH is still such a big thing tbh. Is it worth the struggle to get in #1 there?
My awful Product Hunt launch as a Hunter:
1. We were №1 all day and night. I was super proud because the second place had a famous founder (the designer of the cartoon people you see on websites). The 3rd — $30M startup.
And we were №1. Can you imagine our excitement?
2. At 3 AM, I noticed that PH deleted our launch. They deleted us from all rankings.
3. Nobody responded why. Maybe new users who upvoted us? PH doesn't like new accounts.
Maybe their algo? Maybe other Hunters? Or competitors? We don't know. Their support team saw my messages. They didn't respond.
Now (12 hours later), I got a message that "the system flagged a lot of spam on the launch."
And I'm a Community Member of the Year (runner-up). My checklist and playbook helped 250 startups with their launches.
My clients/customers are products of the week and month. The founders are also active community members.
So, it's very weird.
I use Product Hunt because
- Cool community of founders, marketers, and product people.
- I have customers and clients from Product Hunt.
- I'm a product marketer. I learn a lot on Product Hunt.
And you can get a good backlink.
I don't like PH because:
- Some users are ready to sell their souls (they buy votes, use bots, sell first places for $5K, and do ugly things to competitors).
- The Product Hunt team doesn't explain important things.
Does Product Hunt bring real results?
I know founders who onboarded 2000 users from PH. I know founders who got 0 real sales. When I launched my playbooks, I had a couple of direct sales from PH.
Should you launch on PH? If it is relevant to your use case (go-to-market motion, audience)? Yes.
Should you treat PH like a sustainable growth channel? No.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT!
P.S. I'm very tired.
In order to appreciate React, it helps to understand the historical context for why React was created. From jQuery, to Backbone, to AngularJS – each era inspired React in different ways.
Loved how this was broken down visually by the @uidotdev team.
