Come on, Burnham.
"It's time for this government to show some energy and some bravery and put the water companies into special administration - and then, of course, into public ownership".
💯@GreenJennyJones. It's time to end the rip-off and take private water companies in England back into public hands.

What moron wrote this line for Chukkie to deliver? To demean slavery, the abhorrent treatment and suffering of human beings and describe what they went through as ‘great suffering’. What does that mean? The great suffering that you are benefitting from? Unbelievable

🔔Former BBC Panorama producer Phil Craig says the BBC’s Gaza coverage has shattered his faith in the broadcaster.
His criticism raises serious questions about editorial judgement, accuracy & impartiality in reporting Israel’s war on Gaza.
For Palestinians, this is not merely a media debate.
How their suffering is reported shapes public understanding & accountability.
The BBC’s reputation cannot replace scrutiny.
Trust must be earned through journalism that holds power to account.

There have been 26 Israeli general elections since the Naqba.
Not once have they produced a government which is willing to treat Palestinians as people, let alone as equals. Instead it has been misery piled on injustice.
There is zero reason to believe today's elections will be any different.
#Israel has committed war crimes & crimes against humanity in the Occupied #Palestinian Territory amid continuing #genocide in Gaza, the @UN Commission of Inquiry on Occupied Palestinian Territory & Israel said in a new report to #UNGA81 today.

Once upon a time @UKLabour stood for & fought for ordinary Brits. Now it’s a a route to vast money making for the deeply corrupt. But it’s not just Labour/Starmer/Burnham. It’s almost all MPs. The entire system is rotten to the core & needs gouging out.
Almost 9 million people across the UK are at risk of needing a food bank in the next year.
One in five people have already run out of food and couldn't afford to buy more in the past year. And with further energy price rises on the horizon, millions face continued pressure.
The consequences go far beyond hunger. People are losing sleep, struggling with their health and relationships, and finding it harder to work.
But this doesn't have to be our future. Ahead of the Budget, we need urgent action to ensure everyone can afford the essentials.

Part of me wonders how they have the gall. We've been vilified, suspended, lied about. Decades of work and support counted for nothing. And now they want our support. I cannot express how much I loathe @UKLabour
Burnham has laid out a bold vision for Britain. Now, we must turn his vision into action.
Socialists are already organising across our movement. But we need you.

A message to those who still believe that it all started on October 7. No, it didn't. A 'managed genocide', to keep 1.5 million Palestinians "on the edge of life" was in force years before. Read the latest report by Eyal Weizman:
"A military document called ‘Red Lines’ set the minimum number of calories required to sustain Gaza’s population at a level just above the UN definition of hunger (2100 calories a day for men, 1700 for women and a varying amount for children depending on gender and age). The total number of calories was translated into the tonnage required to feed Gaza’s then population of 1.5 million and thus the number of aid trucks allowed into the territory. The same went for megawatts of electricity and litres of fuel and water. What was seen as good behaviour was rewarded by an increase in the amounts coming in, any acts of resistance by the tightening of the siege, like a population-scale version of a Milgram experiment."

Thinking today of the Brown family. Wrote this last year. To continue subjecting victims and survivors in Northern Ireland to further suffering through prolonged and arduous legal challenges is cruel, callous and utterly shameful.
