I hear you, but I would rather do a mini documentary or docuseries around the EP or album release. One song doesn’t necessarily carry enough of a story to justify an entire mini series.

Exactly. Follower count, spamming and engagement really not as important anymore but people haven’t clocked onto that yet so still chasing it. So many industry thought leaders and culturally influential people sitting with few thousand followers but their impact is in the millions. Art and unique creativity always prevails, forget that data.
