AI may well be able to write massive software projects “from scratch”, but that almost certainly isn’t the fastest / highest performance / highest security / most token efficient way to do things. Good building blocks matter. In addition to RL’ing the agents on final task loss, we should try to get them to regularize the building blocks as well. What would the standard library look like that makes the agents most effective? It is likely at the limit that it turns out to be some alien organization of code, but given the existing human-bias in training, I bet that in the near term it would be lovely code that old programmers would appreciate. I suspect the same could be said for mathematics, but that is out of my lane.

This is where outsiders read it wrong. Ke & Tz have their drama here and there but it is for entertainment value and feelings. They are the only 2 countries in EAC without a border dispute and the most cohesive joint commission. Even NTBs are resolved amicably.
Between UG & KE each is willing to turn the other cheek 4 harmony, same thing between UG & TZ, between KE & TZ things get a little complicated. We watched in horror as a President of a “friendly” country was made to apologise in public. In UG of today, such would never happen.

We can do that, for that is what makes a nation and civilization. For lives lost in service, for lives lost in pursuit of JUSTICE and DIGNITY, won’t be forgotten. So the living we strive and pray 🙏.
“We can acknowledge that OPPRESSION will always be with us, and still strive for JUSTICE . We can admit the intractability of depravation, and still strive for DIGNITY.. We can do that, for that is the story of human progress..” Obama 2009.

Maybe, maybe not. I've never heard of a matriarchal/matrilineal/matrifocal system where men aren't the primary providers. Just like in patriarchy. In fact, you can just ignore whatever buzzword they use in your time, make it easy for women to get and keep stuff & you're golden!
My 26 years of being alive has taught me that women are the true up holders of the patriarchal system. There's nothing a woman hates more on this planet than a man who doesn't live up to the values of the patriarchal system. They definitely will deny it but time reveals all.

This is a popular talking point when arguing for the government. I partly agree, citizens did commit crimes agains businesses & each other. Problem is, it doesn't judge the government's part & response with the same or even lessser severity. Kuna wahalifu wanapendelewa hapa...
where did i even talk about protests? it is one's constitutional right to do such shida huwezi kuharamisha serikali kwa njia haramu. i even asked who riots and bungles people's homes on election day? we lost a lot of lives to populist pandering. why didn't we learn from others?

Also, he knows. He was letting you know that a secret police that can accuse you of anything and then execute you without due process, exists with the government's consent. Get it?

Oct 29 was such a Tianamen Square moment for us but the difference is that China went on to materially improve the lives of its people. For us however… more oligarchy and kakistocracy awaits

The polepole pipeline.
The kind of karma that governs Uganda is something to be feared. Retired Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu, now pursued by Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba over allegations of rebel activity – charges he denies - has gone into hiding, "fearing for his life". In November 2016, Elwelu, then a brigadier, commanded the military assault on the Rwenzururu Kingdom palace in Kasese, allegedly for its support of eastern DR Congo-based Ugandan rebels. The operation left over 150 people dead, with estimates placing the toll around 153, including royal guards, civilians, women, and children. On May 19, 2021, Elwelu provoked widespread outrage during a press conference by declaring that the Kasese victims "deserved death." Defending the brutality of the raid, he insisted, "Uganda is peaceful because of my actions in Kasese." When challenged on local backlash and the US visa sanctions slapped on Ugandan officials over human rights abuses, he brushed off international concern: "To hell with them." He had previously branded the Kasese victims "witches" shortly after the 2016 massacre. If Elwelu is cowering in fear today, he might pause to reflect on the sheer terror felt by those defenceless women and children in Kasese. Perhaps he now wishes he possessed the powers of a Harry Potter wizard to vanish into thin air before Muhoozi tracks him down. We must still wish Elwelu fair treatment and due process under the law. Yet there is no escaping the poetic justice of a man who once handed down merciless destruction now finding himself hunted, learning the hard way that the wheel of retribution too often turns full circle. monitor.co.ug/uganda/news/na…

An idiot who sought asylum in the US, got denied, then became extremely bitter. If America had given him asylum, he would have been there, just like the other faux activists. Dude came here to lie about what happened to us in Ukraine. Like, I was literally the one who made noise for Africans in Ukraine, while his types were busy collecting money on our behalf. I really detest these faux activists. We were going through a lot; their stupid asses were on social media using our stories to make money in the name of activism. Now his ass is lying about why we made noise. His followers will eat this nonsense up now, as usual. A proper liar.

If they largely respect him, why was did the government have to make dissing him a punishable crime?

I’m not. A lot of people died. A lot of people were killed. Brutal. But yet the Chinese largely respect Mao. Ask yourself why. Because there are many countries where they absolutely despise their strongmen or even put up museums to display the brutality of previous dictators. China is not one of those countries.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
It is not permitted to publicly criticise Mao in China. nytimes.com/2021/11/02/wor…

Every Kenyan tweet comes with a mandatory audio track in your head. If you’re not reading it with the accent, you’re literally missing 50% of the joke. The comedy doubles immediately 😂
