honest to god the “i’ve never seen a convincing case of DID, it likely doesn’t exist” comments from armchair psychologists online have never made me doubt my diagnosis in the slightest and i don’t think they ever will. i have the experience to know DID is 100% undeniably real.

someone else just mentioned this and i feel like it's important to say: you cannot get diagnosed w BPD until you are 18. you cannot get treatment until adulthood. meaning that you are trapped, with a disorder that develops in childhood, until you can start researching therapists.

idk how ppl are acting like BPD is nbd and is highly treatable and super easy to control. ever since i was a child, when i experience too strong emotions, i vomit. like a LOT. negative emotions cause nerve pain for me. i will get migraines and vertigo, my blood pressure drops.

not to mention BPD is largely a traumagenic disorder acquired in childhood, meaning the vast majority of us developed it as CHILDREN bc we faced heinous levels of abuse. i am this way bc i was abused and witness to abuse as an infant and a toddler, how dare ppl expect normalcy

the bpd convo is strange because its just people describing textbook bpd symptoms and denying they have any correlation with bpd at all, and i’m sure this is almost solely because the alternative of admitting to find people with certain mental conditions annoying looks bad

My wife left her last therapist bc when she heard I have BPD she told my wife that we are master manipulators and she needed to leave me then proceeded to talk massive shit about a former BPD patient she had lol
