The customizable vtuber model market has made ppl TOO comfortable w/thinking the artist is some gacha/mobile game corp to be updating them weekly/monthly & giving you dlc for it.
Y'all forgot the core purpose of these is to use them as TEMPORARY models to help build yourself up to then afford your own og design. If you still cant afford a new 2d then pay someone to retexture it for you.
Don't base reasons to purchase a new one just bc its in trend rn or bc "it still gets updates at least" bc that just shows how you don't care for the artists craft and behind the scenes work/time. Some of these artists are top tier hard workers who do things for vtubing corporations and other fine arts so ofc they'll need to put that passion project to the back burner bc its just that a passion project just vtubing is for us or at least me.
