Finally installed the 1995 mod for F1 Challenge after having to sit on this career mode for an entire month with no Internet

I have illegally voted 23 times in Kansas electoral districts. My name is Peter Anton Bayer and I am the CEO of Racing Bulls Formula One Team
If you vote illegally, we will find you. We will track you down, arrest you, and prosecute you. There will be no escape.

People talk a lot of shit about F1 Twitter but honestly after fifteen minutes on the Formula 1 subreddit I'm defending this place with my life

๐Ÿšจ How good has Liam Lawsonโ€™s 2026 season been? If Lawson was his own constructor, he would still be P5 in the standings this season just like Racing Bulls is currently. He has also scored more points (83) than Haas, Audi, Williams & Aston Martin combined (77)

It's kinda weird but after slandering George Russell for such a long time and taking a certain amount of happiness from his downfall this season, I have nothing but respect for the way he's handled the media and dealt with Kimi's title as the more experienced teammate.

If I was a F1 driver you would not get me to shut up about Heinz-Harald Frentzen
Replying to @liivandrade
THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT! where's the schumacher generation? hakkinen generation? why are 00s kids asked whether they idolise senna as if wdc champions stopped existing after him? ntm you can still pick idols from non-champions! why is it always senna?

I thought this way too until I had no Internet for a month and burned through 30GB with my hotspot in two weeks
Mobile Data plans are a bit excessive at times, no? Why does a person need 24 GB a month? Or 50 GB a month? Really anything over 5 is excessive imo. I consider myself a fairly avid internet user and I barely go over 2 GB every few months, most months I'm below 1.8

I would also like to take this opportunity to apologise to the several thousand reincarnated Jack Rourkes who were crushed to death/mauled by police dogs/splattered over fences/serving 15 to 20 because eight-year old Jeb fucking sucked at QTEs

My favourite thing on F1 stan Twitter is people referring to driver fanbases by the driver's number. It takes me a few seconds to remember what they mean and that it's not random age slander

Someone has to buy out Alex Albon or something he cannot stay for another season while Lawson is getting hung out to dry
๐Ÿšจ | Liam Lawson has admitted there are no guarantees he will be on the grid next year. VCARB are understood to be strongly considering replacing him with Nikola Tsolov for 2027.

THERE ARE REAL FUCKING TEARS IN MY EYES I'VE NEVER HAD INTERNET THIS FAST IN MY LIFE (for context, my previous connection was THREE Mbps download and ZERO POINT SEVEN Mbps upload)
keeping my phone on 1% perpetually through the slow drip of electrons from my broken USB cable so it can hotspot my PC (my carrier pigeon internet may finally have flown into a plate-glass window)

Funny how F2 results are never relevant until it's an RB junior, and RB keeps subpar long-term drivers until one gets a successful, uninterrupted season...
Drivers (since I remember) to simultaneously finish top 12 in the WDC, beat their teammate and have more points than the next 2 in the Championship Standings combined Liam Lawson 2026 Max Verstappen 2023 Robert Kubica 2010 Jenson Button 2006 (same points) Michael Schumacher 2002

๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’” Often overlooked even by the standards of F1 champions, Jones was a brilliant driver and one of the standout wheel-to-wheel racers of the ground effect era and a superb talent across multiple racing disciplines. He'll be greatly missed, an Australian motorsport icon
Vale Alan Jones. It is with great sadness that the Australian Grand Prix Corporation acknowledges the passing of Alan Jones, and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family, loved ones and friends. As a Formula 1ยฎ World Champion and one of Australiaโ€™s greatest racing drivers, Alan holds a special place in the history of our sport. His 1980 World Championship inspired a generation of Australian motorsport fans, while his victory at the Australian Grand Prix that same year remains the last time an Australian driver has won their home Grand Prix. He leaves an extraordinary legacy in Australian motorsport and will be deeply missed by the motorsport community around the world.

For more, there's a thread here from @TheRoboteer with a clip of Jones's excellent drive in France, 1980:
Just found out that Alan Jones has passed away, and can't help but feel a pang of sadness In many ways the definitive Williams driver. It was a desire to recapture Jones' style which led Sir Frank to sign the likes of Keke Rosberg, Nigel Mansell, and even J.P Montoya.

Liam being the 9th best qualifier, effectively 'best of the rest' despite typically being his weakness in '25 and '24๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Kimi Antonelli's lead on rolling qualifying pace is down to 0.006s over George Russell, from 0.083s a week ago. Verstappen 3rd, 0.063s back. Rolling pace is each driver's qualifying pace this season, with recent races counting the most.
