~$400M for employee #300 is unbelievably absurd and I don't think we ever see it happen again
Please check in on any friends who turned down job offers at Anthropic
Who actually gets rich if Anthropic lists at $2 trillion?
The S-1 filed on Monday lets us answer from the filing itself.
The reported target is $1.5T to $2T, listing the week of November 16. The filing implies about 16.9B fully diluted shares. So $2T works out to roughly $118 a share.
The cap table at $2T:
- $199B for the 7 controlling co-founders, about 10%
- $28B for Ben Mann, if his stake matches theirs
- $100B for the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, 5%
- $331B in employee options and RSUs, about 17% , That pool covers about 5,300 employees, an average of $62M each.
- But when you joined matters enormously.
The S-1 shows how much equity was granted each year, and at what price. [
Headcount went from about 300 to 500 in late 2023, to 940 at end 2024, to 5,300 now.
Match the two, and here is roughly how many people made what at $2T:
- $110M to $400M each: ~300 to 500 people hired by 2023
- $200M to $300M each: ~440 to 640 hired in 2024
- $70M to $95M each: ~1,360 hired in 2025
- $10M to $20M each: ~3,000 hired in 2026
So about 940 people hired by the end of 2024 average nine figures. Everyone hired since averages eight figures.
The 2024 class is the surprise. That year Anthropic granted 1.28B options at $1.30 a share. At $118, that one year of grants is worth about $133B.
Then there is the tender. In April, holders could sell at $25.91 a share. Investors lined up $6B, but only $4.7B sold.
Weeks later, Series H priced at $58.90 a share. At $2T, the people who held would be up 4.6x. And Dario and Daniela Amodei were among the sellers.
The 7 founders have pledged 80% of their equity to charity. That is about $159B at $2T. But the S-1 says the pledges are not legally binding.
Got to spend time with some absolutely cracked devs this week who are fully AI red pilled. Not only are they building insane stuff with software, but the things they're doing with physical hardware and gadgets had me completely geeked out.
These guys are having the time of their lives building shit and it's contagious
Cool new feature that has an interactive housing temperature map that tracks how each state's market is doing. Home prices are cracking in several states y/y americadashboard.com/stories…

Built the entire thing with Claude code in a single session. It's a dashboard that ranks and scores all 50 states across economy, health, education, and more
No idea if this already exists or if I'll do anything with it. Just a random idea I had. Maybe a pSEO play.

Turns out this thing might have some legs. Added a ton of new data points recently, redid all the scoring algos, and had opus 5.5 do a full UI redesign. Take a peek

Update: now pacing at 6x while everyone else declaring SEO dead.
From 200k/mo to 1.2m+. Those users monetize at .30 in first time rev, with subscription MRR stacking behind it every month.
Oh, and I've also 10x'd email rev, 6x'd FB ad spend, and lowered CPA.
I don't really take on much client work anymore. This one came as a fractional gig with real performance upside. Skin in the game is about the only kind of setup that's interesting at this point.
Opus 5.5 is the exact opposite. I've had it cooking non stop for the last 24 hours on multiple projects and I'm only 33% through my weekly usage. Fable was going through 100% in hours on a single project.
Not only is Muse going to be another few hundred million dau product in the hands of the world's biggest & best ad platform, but the real genius is users willingness to hand over incredibly rich data like email, purchases, interests, personal info, cc numbs, and conversations. Flywheel.
Zuck again showing he's top founder/operator in our lifetimes.
Muse is really freaking good. The first agent with a shot at mainstream adoption.
I don't think anything else, so far, has or will be useful for the masses. They're just digital assistants and most people don't have enough work to hand off that they need an assistant.
Meta has context, access, a social graph and they really nailed the UX on this v1.
Updated this again or rather, added a second skill to it that spins up audit agents and loops content until it passes 9/10 for sounding human
Update this claude code skill for writing SEO content without sounding like AI wrote it. Cross referenced it w/ @blader's humanizer & @petergyang's no-ai-slop to catch structural tells, not just the vocab. Lmk what you think

Finding new restaurants has always been a pita. Check Google reviews, cross reference w Reddit, check IG, find open rez, etc. Easily a 30+ min process.
I was actually building myself an app for this. So i asked Muse to look at my Instagram saves and gave it a couple criteria and it built me an app in 10 seconds that absolutely nailed exactly what I wanted. I made the rez for me too
