As the world’s largest alternative asset manager, @Blackstone requires the highest standards of deployment flexibility and governance.
Factory made it possible to operate agentic software development within Blackstone’s own data centers without compromising model choice or workflows.

factory got early access to beam through together before launch
they used that window to test @reflection_ai's model on real coding + agentic workflows, including tool-error recovery, conflict handling + final repo verification
by day 0, @FactoryAI already knew how beam behaved on the work that matters to their customers

Flying back from a week at @FactoryAI HQ in SF. Three weeks into the job. A few early reflections:
1/ I thought I knew what a talent-dense organisation looked like. I was wrong.
2/ The energy is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Everyone is all-in, relentlessly ambitious, and pushing in the same direction. No egos, no politics. Just an absurdly talented team having fun building something big.
3/ Leadership is everywhere. Product, engineering, sales, hiring. They get into the details and will change weekend plans to fly across the world to close a customer.
4/ The technical depth is matched by exceptional business acumen. People who can go deep on the product, understand the customer, and know how to win.
Only three weeks in, and I’ve rarely been this excited about what’s ahead.
We're excited to share our customer story with @claudeai featuring Factory co-founder and CEO @matanSF.
We cover topics like how @AnthropicAI frontier models in @Droid are enabling engineering teams to handle long-horizon tasks across large codebases, what it will take to build a fully autonomous "dark factory" for software, and more.

For heavier engineering tasks, Droid opens a code channel: a Slack channel for your task, showing the repo, the branch, and a diff of its changes.
Anyone in the channel can steer Droid, no @ needed. When the task is complete, Droid posts a summary with PR links and archives the channel as an auditable record.
Factory appears as a Rovo agent in Jira's Agents picker.
Select it on an issue, or mention Factory in a comment, and Droid investigates, implements, and tests the task, then reports progress and results back in Jira.
An admin sets the default model, custom instructions, plugins, service account, and compute once, in Settings > Delegations.

Droid starts from the title, description, labels, and comments.
Droid moves issues to In Progress, investigates, makes the change, runs the tests, and opens a pull request. Factory attaches the PR link to the issue.
Write the issue the way you'd hand it to a teammate, including the repo, the outcome, and how to check the result.

Factory is partnering with @databricks to bring autonomous software engineering to enterprise data and AI.
Droids can build, migrate, and secure software directly on Databricks, using the data, models, and governance enterprises already trust.
Customers with universal commitments to Databricks can apply their existing commitment to purchase Factory on Databricks Marketplace and use Droids directly with the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

One interesting part of Delegations isn't just how it changed engineering at Factory, but also who else started shipping.
PMs, sales, design: anyone can collaborate and hand off real work from the surfaces they already live in.
If you want to own the PDLC, the product has to be low-friction for all personas. Once an admin sets up Delegations, that end-user friction drops to zero.
Introducing Delegations, now generally available.
Your team can hand work to Droid from the tools they already use.
Shared work runs under a dedicated service account, with its own Git credentials and connectors, not as whoever made the request.
Admins decide what Droid can access.
Delegations are the foundation for bringing Factory into the tools your teams already use. More on that next week.
