🚨 URGENT: @the_andrey_x is in very bad shape. He has a concussion and lost consciousness several times while being detained.
Settlers blocked the ambulance from evacuating him. He is now being held ALONE in the ambulance inside the settlement and is being denied transfer to a hospital.
HAPPENING NOW🚨🚨: @the_andrey_x @infinite_jaz and I were attacked by settler-terrorists in Umm al-Khair!!
They beat us, threatened to shoot us, stole Andrey's phone and my glasses and pepper-sprayed Jasper.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt reveals they’re already deep inside the AI industry, pushing to manipulate the source code and control what Grok and other chatbots tell you about Israel.
“We’ve built software to track Wikipedia editors,” says the head of the ADL.
We have an investigation publishing soon about pro-Israel manipulation of Wikipedia, and he just blurts it out

“Black girls also deserve stories about the completely ordinary things…no tragedy waiting to happen and not a hyper-polished version of Black womanhood packaged for consumption. Just a girl…making questionable romantic decisions…overthinking a text” queensatwork.com/kianna-naom…

i do think really the insidious idea this trope puts into people's minds is tying women to the orthodoxy of a discipline and positioning the male protagonist as the necessary challenge to tradition when it's often the other way around in real life

🇵🇸💢 Israeli forces killed four Palestinians in Gaza on Tuesday, including a 6-year-old girl, according to Palestinian news site Felesteen.
Those killed include:
➤ Tahani Mohammed Saeed Shalalfa, a girl, 6, who died of a gunshot wound from Israeli fire in al-Mawasi, the coastal tent area west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to medical sources.
➤ Ahmed Yassin Bseiso, a young man, who died of wounds from an Israeli strike on al-Thawra Street in central Gaza City days earlier, according to local sources.
➤ A young man, not yet named in reports, shot dead by Israeli forces in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
➤ An unnamed person whose body medics recovered after an Israeli strike on al-Mawasi in Rafah, Gaza's southernmost city.
▪️Israeli forces also wounded several Palestinians, according to Felesteen. A man was shot in the head in Qizan Rashwan, south of Khan Younis. Israeli gunboats fired heavily on the Gaza City coastline, wounding others, and more were wounded east of Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
▪️Israeli forces also opened heavy fire on tents of displaced families west of Rafah. They shelled the Nuseirat and Bureij camps and struck the Mawasi area of Rafah with a drone. All of this came despite the ceasefire in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.
she was so real for sharing this because monoracial black women keep getting gaslit when they point out how the casting process works differently for them and that shit is irritating as fuck

where are the poc and diverse book adaptations ?? cool seeing more bipoc actors represented in recent adaptations, but it would be meaningful to actually have diverse books written by authors of color getting the tv & movie deals to have more authentic representation

It has been a year since the kidnapping of the journalist Muammar Ibrahim by the RSF militia. He was the only journalist reporting on ground during the siege. He didn’t have any political affiliation. He simply reported the truth.

“Years do odd things to identity.” A poem by Ursula K. Le Guin.

ALT Leaves BY URSULA K. LE GUIN Years do odd things to identity. What does it mean to say I am that child in the photograph at Kishamish in 1935? Might as well say I am the shadow of a leaf of the acacia tree felled seventy years ago moving on the page the child reads. Might as well say I am the words she read or the words I wrote in other years, flicker of shade and sunlight as the wind moves through the leaves.
