An epic shame on Churchill for turning states and tracks against each other over the Preakness. This desperate gimmick to save Churchill’s stock price which has plummeted since 2025 should force CEO William Carstanjen to lose his job. He did enough damage destroying Arlington.

This is beyond disgraceful. Gambling is a cancer. Prediction markets even worse; they will cause more athletes to cheat, more to be threatened if they make or miss foul shots or play for fewer minutes. Less confidence in integrity of the game. Shame on the NBA and Adam Silver.
The NBA has reached deals with Kalshi and Polymarket to make them the league's preferred prediction markets partners. The companies can now use NBA IP on their platforms, while the NBA gets right of approval on markets that they offer. That and more:

After 81 seasons, the NBA has officially ended. The Boston Celtics won the most championships in NBA history at 18.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the NBA from the beginning to the end, it was one hell of a run! 🫡

Adam Silver will go down as the single worst commissioner in all of sports.
Who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea?
The NBA is formally stepping into the prediction markets ecosystem.
The league announced agreements Monday morning with Kalshi and Polymarket that will allow the companies to use official league data and intellectual property and give the league control over what trades the companies are allowed to offer.

This should be illegal. I hope there’s a class action lawsuit against these books and the limits are eliminated.
Professional sports bettor Mike Manning says he got a firsthand look at how a sports gambling betting platform treats winners differently from losers. He told CBS News’ Jim Axelrod that Caesars Sportsbook showered him with VIP perks when he was losing, then slashed his betting limits and cut off the perks after he started winning.
His account adds to allegations that sports betting platforms limit the amount skilled gamblers are able to wager.
In a statement, Caesars Sportsbook said, “We don't comment on the specifics of individual customer accounts. Caesars Sportsbook is an entertainment product and we consider a variety of factors including account activity, integrity protocols, and consistency with our terms and conditions, when establishing wagering limits and determining VIP rewards and benefits. No decision is made solely on a customer's win-loss record.”

Indiana cop Justin Craig just got arrested for using Flock cameras to stalk his wife’s plate 80+ times and another woman’s nearly 250 times.
He faked the search labels (narcotics, assault, stolen vehicle, etc.) so it would look like real police work. A WaPo reporter tipped off the chief and the whole thing unraveled.
This is what the surveillance state looks like when cops treat Flock like a personal tracking tool. No warrant, no investigation, just pure abuse.
Support the Flock Off Act.

This is what makes sports so special. Rudy Tomjanovich, the legendary coach who led the Houston Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships, was personally serving burgers and Dream Shakes to fans at the grand opening of Rudy T's Diner inside Toyota Center.
The best part is that the diner wasn't even supposed to be real. It started as a fictional restaurant in commercials promoting the Rockets' new uniforms, but fans loved the concept so much that they began asking when and where it would actually open.
Speaking to PaperCity, Tomjanovich shared just how far the excitement had spread.
"It's a great idea and very creative," Tomjanovich said. "Then people started asking when it's going to open. Where it's going to be. My grandson called me up and said, 'Grandpa, how come you didn't tell us about this diner?'"
"Now it's real. And here it is."
Imagine going to a Rockets game and getting your burger handed to you by the man who coached the team to two NBA championships.

In 2020, Tommy Tuberville promised to donate “every dime” of his $174,000 Senate salary to Alabama veterans and their families. A June investigation found no evidence he followed through, a pledge now worth roughly $1 million.
Tuesday night, after a reporter asked about it, Tuberville told staff to remove him. Then he called the media “socialists” and “communists.”
