End of story -- it is vitally and strategically imperative for Europe and the entire free world to take the most decisive steps to accelerate the development of their own alternative to Starlink.
Otherwise, this profoundly hypocritical, infantile, walking embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect, drunk on his own sense of limitless power, impunity, and imagined moral superiority, will bring the entire free world to ruin -- all for the sake of the ketamine-fueled cockroaches in his head.

As Ukrainians were again being attacked by Russian ballistic missiles overnight, Trump dropped “Truth” bombs on them — siding with the man who ordered the strikes and justifying his support for Russia that has allowed it to fill its war chest and continue its invasion, while laying into Zelenskyy again. Ukrainians were also shocked to learn that they had lost oceans.

In her comments after the event, Le Pen has skimmed over the possible responsibilities of the hard left candidate Jean Luc Melenchon. She has no interest in attacking Melenchon as she knows she would beat him easily in a Round Two matchup. Her interest is served by pinning the blame on Macron and by ricochet the centrist candidates, such as the former PM, Edouard Philippe

Zelenskyy spoke to Kushner and Witkoff by phone this afternoon. No details in this readout but the language used is still remarkable.
"Peace comes only through strength and cooperation built on trust," Zelenskyy says. "We are doing everything on our part to make this happen, and to ensure that America’s position is strong and helps bring peace closer."
Had a conversation with the American President’s envoys, Steve Witkoff @SEPeaceMissions and Jared Kushner @jaredkushner. Peace comes only through strength and cooperation built on trust. We are doing everything on our part to make this happen, and to ensure that America’s position is strong and helps bring peace closer. Peace that everyone, except Russia, has been waiting for over the past four and a half years.
In particular, we discussed the results of our teams’ meeting in Florida. Our teams maintain virtually nonstop communication. We are also preparing the next steps in diplomacy. We constantly inform our partners about the real situation with Russian strikes, which do not cease for a single minute, and about air defense issues. A lot here depends precisely on America’s position. Ukraine remains ready to work constructively, honestly, and toward a real result. I thank everyone in America who supports Ukraine and this particular approach.

Ukraine carried out its largest-ever drone attack on St Petersburg on Sunday, defying US demands to halt strikes against Russian energy infrastructure. Fires broke out at the oil terminal in St Petersburg’s port. Airports in Moscow and St Petersburg were closed for several hours during the attack.

Full agree. Violent French chaos sets stage for Le Pen to pose as strongwoman who will sort it all out at home (and then pull support from Ukraine)

🧵@SenWarren: “For the past 20 months, Donald Trump has failed to use his broad, existing sanctions authority to disrupt support for Russia’s war machine and to help achieve a just peace for Ukraine.
Tonight’s announcement is another abject and predictable failure in leadership.

While Musk owns SpaceX which controls Starlink systems and can impose restrictions on them in Ukraine, those that began overnight are on the Starshield military version of the system controlled by the Pentagon. 💥Ukraine’s former Defense Minister @FedorovMykhailo and former Air Force Deputy Commander Pavlo Yelizarov have unveiled a new unnamed jet-powered interceptor drone designed to shoot down Russia’s jet-powered drones.
Lasar’s Group crews have already shot down two Geran-5 drones approaching Kyiv. The developers are now scaling up production and working toward fully autonomous interception without operator involvement.
P.S: This brings the number of publicly shown Geran-5 engagements in our running tally to 13:
• STING S: 4
• Fedorov (jet?) interceptor: 2
• SSU jet interceptor: 2
• P1-SUN JetKiller: 2
• Prytula Foundation-funded jet interceptor: 2
• SPYS: 1
Our new interceptor is already taking down jet-powered Shaheds over Kyiv. Two Geran-5s down in its first week.
Our team, together with Pavlo Yelizarov, our military, and engineers, built this new interceptor drone. Combat testing was carried out by crews from Lasar’s Group. From concept to confirmed intercepts: just 1 month.
Next step: full autonomy, scaling, and a pipeline of new defense-tech products to protect Ukrainian cities.

I do not always agree with the former Prime Minister of the UK, but on this particular one, I could not agree more @BorisJohnson @JoWadephul @rixa_fursen @gebauerspon @MunSecConf
It is sickening that the USA is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel, and transparently ridiculous to blame Ukraine for the spike in prices that obviously began with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Putin is murdering innocent Ukrainian civilians every day. The Ukrainians are fighting for their lives. And yet the White House is apparently determined to force American drivers to bankroll Putin’s slaughter. It won’t work and I doubt it will make much difference to the price of fuel.
If we want Russian oil and gas back on the world market then let’s end this war - with a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine.

Trump does appear to be very angry with Zelensky. The situation is strongly reminiscent of the February 2025 confrontation. But his mood can shift rapidly, as Putin also knows, particularly when it reflects immediate political pressures such as the midterm elections. This may look like Putin’s moment of triumph: he has secured an economic deal, albeit a modest one, before a peace settlement, departing from Washington’s previous position. He is also hearing the message he has wanted to hear for years: Zelensky must go.
Yet whatever Moscow hopes or believes, Washington cannot simply remove Zelensky. The central uncertainty is how the current confrontation will affect his domestic standing and, in turn, Kyiv’s position on Russia’s demands.
Putin may believe that developments are moving in his favour, but he is unlikely to count on Trump to deliver the outcome he wants. Instead, he will see Trump’s current stance as creating more favourable conditions for intensifying military pressure, aimed primarily at triggering an internal political breakdown in Ukraine rather than achieving a battlefield breakthrough. In his view, this pressure must be accompanied by efforts to cultivate Trump and make limited, tactical accommodations that could yield longer-term benefits.

The latest sanctions against the International Criminal Court mark a new level of escalation.
They target the world’s only permanent international criminal court, which holds those responsible for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes to account. For survivors of these crimes and the families of those murdered, it is often the last hope for justice. The sanctions undermine the international criminal justice system established by States Parties, including Austria, and, with it, their sovereignty.
Austria strongly rejects these measures. Together with our partners, we will continue to protect the Court and its personnel.

🇺🇦 Some of the highlights from Ukrainsky Pravda's recent article covering the first months of Drapatyi's tenure as Commander-in-Chief.
- Upon taking command, Drapartyi undertook a relatively large-scale "purge" of officers, with several dozen of all ranks being "sent to the reserve battalion."
- The personnel shuffle hit the general staff hard, with 15 members from the International Cooperation Department of the General Staff being dismissed.
- At the same time, officers that were "exiled" under Syrskyi are being brought back into the force.
- The relation between the General Staff and the logistics forces has been improving since the appointment of Yuriy Pohribnyi as its new commander.
- The Air Force has, due to a general expansion of the force, largely remained an unchanging monolith with little will to adapt
- No choice on the long-term fate of the Assault Regiments has been made so far with no clear future for the Joint Rapid Reaction Forces Command.
- Distribution of personnel replanishment has been overhauled, with a much larger share now going to units outside of the Assault regiments, who also had to shed excessive manpower to units that needed it the most.
- Corps and brigade commanders have been granted much more freedom in how they conduct operations within their AO as the new GENSTAF moves to decentralize command.
- According to sources, Drapartiy intends to reform the Joint Forces Command into a control organ to manage combat operations along the entire front as he pushes the ZSU further towards NATO standards.
- An effort is being made to actually forcefully standardize on the Delta Battle Management System.
- Development of a first long-term strategy paper, "war plan," is underway, which would be the first time this war that Ukraine would have a coherent long-term strategic vision.
