I’m just building and building the game these days. Playing the game, I check the gameplay, map, enemies, placing things, events, UI, graphics, sound, animation, VFX, cut scenes, scenario, how everything is connected, vibration, the rhythm of the game, hints - it’s this phase and I send out notes to the team. So, it’s going to take a little bit more.

It's an early preview but still includes features most folks need. If testing in a VM, accelerated graphics is required - otherwise it'll feel slow and there will be rendering issues for features like workspaces. We'll have software rendering in the second alpha.

Business rules are EVERYWHERE, including in your SQL and database.
The challenge is how to distribute (or even duplicate) those rules across the whole system in an interesting and maintainable way.
The application and database are closely connected. Believing that the database is only a detail or that all business rules are centralized in a logical layer in your application is how terrible someone builds software 🤷🏻♀️

When I had just started my own studio and had nothing, I pitched the DS project to Norman at a sushi restaurant and asked him if he would like to do it with me.
