My best #libraryattitudes moment will be known to some, but it's worth repeating. When I left my role as school librarian a year 10 girl gave me a note and told me to read it later. She was one I'd been working with for years - reluctant reader, didn't see herself as a reader
It's been a fantastic six and a half years. Thanks to everyone who's played a part!
Our wonderful CEO is stepping down from her post at the end of November. We are very grateful to Alison for her work over the last six and a half years and we wish her every success in her new role. Read more here: sla.org.uk/Public/News/Artic…

I attended last year’s @uksla summer school and found it invaluable. This year, it’s on my doorstep but unfortunately I can’t make it. If you’re local (or even if you’re not) I’d encourage you to go!
☀️ Want to use some spare time this summer to develop your skills?
School library staff in the #SouthWest are invited to to join author and reading motivator, @JoffreWhite, for a day of networking and exploring how to raise the profile of your library.

Morning! If a political candidate knocks on your door for your vote, ask them if they agree to #MakeSchoolLibrariesStatutory and what they plan to do about it. Let's start the debate nationally

My Summer @uksla cover illustration honours more School Librarians. Already I’m planning the next cover and know at least one School Librarian who will almost certainly appear. The last cover, features all of the @SwindonYFL Librarians and Children’s Laureate @JosephACoelho.
