Celtic's Irish Trinity all to the fore as we recover from 4-2 down to edge a 9-goal thriller with Third Lanark thanks to a last-gasp goal from Charlie Tully.
Bertie Peacock also scored as did former Arthurlie striker Jim Lafferty, his last goal for Celts.

On this day in 1924...Willie Fleming creates what I believe to be a unique record, scoring four goals on his debut, coincidentally against today's opponents Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
He later played for Ayr and it was at his benefit game Peter Scarff's illness first manifested
Pre-war Celtic favourite Malky MacDonald later played for today’s opponents Kilmarnock , then Brentford before managing both these clubs, Killie twice in fact plus a brief spell as Scotland caretaker boss.

Skipper Jock Stein scores his first goal for Celtic, a late equaliser in a 2-2 home draw with Hibernian which secured a vital point in the club's first Double-winning season in 40 years.
Stevie Chalmers, 406 appearances for Celtic, scoring 228 goals, one of which was a bit more important than the rest ! 🤔😎

On this day in 1897...a much-weakened Celtic side celebrated the 10th anniversary of its founding with a 2-1 win over Dundee at Carolina Port.
I didn't recognise many of the line-up, including the man who scored both goals, Adam Henderson.
@DFCHistorical moved to Dens in 1899.

Celts celebrate the golden jubilee of our founding with a 6-0 rout of Partick Thistle, a second consecutive six-goal home win without the great McGrory.
Johnny Crum and Joe Carruth both scored twice, with Willie Buchan and Chic Geatons also on target.
Great night, sadly Boavista recently
went the way of our defunct former rivals Rangers.
