yeah usually i have an agents conclude by making a folder for itself in ~/Documents with a REPORT.txt and verifications/ for what it just did
Mildly performative but very directionally correct. In the sense of having a focused environment to deeply engage with the questions and decisions that matter, and not being drowned in tool calls and other irrelevant implementation details.

means i can spend the day just reading reports (declarative artifacts) instead of chat histories (imperative, noisy)

Introducing the Realtime Skill Teach your coding assistant to build an agent using Eleven Realtime or move a browser app off OpenAI Realtime on the same SDK. Install with > npx skills add elevenlabs/skills
Eleven Realtime is live for developers. It's a new class of Speech to Speech models complete with speech recognition, voice activity detection, turn-taking, LLM, and text to speech, available via the Realtime API. v1 Mini is built for natural conversations at low cost, while v1 Max is great for complex tasks and multi-step reasoning.

Was at StuyTown and I see why many people like it; it’s quite pleasant. A little oasis of eerie stillness and quiet in its perfectly symmetrical array of cruciform tower blocks, it’s nice in a small dose. But those who wanted to demolish all cities to turn into that are psycho

NYC’s problem is one of supply (it is the only real city in America) and demand (300,000,000 people live in this country). Imagine if Paris was the only city in Europe where you could feasibly not own a car. It’s honestly a miracle NYC isn’t more broken…
When I moved here in 2013 the west village was for 90 year olds, celebrities, and fifth generation New Yorkers. It was super quiet and was the perfect place to get totally blazed and walk around alone feeling like you were in some gas lamp lit 1800s spooky New York. I’ll never forgive people for making it influencer line culture hell.

We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

Breaking down language barriers is a big part of why we started ElevenLabs. Eleven Realtime Translation brings that now to live calls!
This week, we launched Eleven Realtime for voice agents that talk to people. Now we’re opening a limited alpha of Eleven Realtime Translation, for people who need to talk to each other. Eleven Realtime Translation builds live voice translation into calls. Each person can speak their own language and hear the other person in theirs, in a natural voice, while the call is happening. It works in more than 90 languages and detects each speaker’s language automatically. Access is open to enterprise customers during the alpha.

You have a child’s sense of aesthetics. The heterogeneity on the left is what makes it interesting and gives it character. If every city in Japan looked like that oft-photographed stretch in Narai, it wouldn’t be interesting at all.
Japan is a beautiful country. Its cities and streets are safe and pleasant places to be. But it's absolutely not true to state, as many urbanists do, that only streets and urbanism matter. Buildings matter as much if not more. Here's a comparison to make the point.

People in the west literally are incapable of understanding the recurring, central conflict in Doraemon: a kid not doing well in school is something to feel ashamed about. Because they fundamentally do not value academic success in children, more than half of Doraemon's plot make 0 cultural sense, making it entirely incomprehensible to them.
Doraemon is an example of a globally huge thing that has little recognition and popularity in the United States. In Asia from what I know, Doraemon is huge, but hardly anybody here in America knows what it is. Only like, hardcore anime fans here have heard of it.

To put forward an useful analogy, prior to the 20th century or so, an East Asian state calling itself 中國 is like a contemporaneous Western Eurasian state calling itself Rome: clearly a meaningful and important political claim, but it doesn't mean the state was Italian

Introducing Eleven Realtime, a new class of Speech to Speech models. Voice agents usually make you choose between quick replies or precise answers. Eleven Realtime gives you both. It starts talking in half a second and gets spoken reasoning questions right.

I really love this green/amber phosphor retro-futuristic UI aesthetic. EVA captured it especially well. We need to resurrect it.

I insist the people who minimize the current state of Canal St haven’t been there in a while. They now are blocking *crosswalk ramps*, and at least 80% of the actual sidewalk in some parts (some areas a tight single-file space now). Major ADA violation!
And you should see Canal Street. It looks like a Mogadishu sidewalk bazaar without the charm. You can’t even get down the sidewalk. And everything the peddlers are hawking is counterfeit or stolen.
