🥳 TODAY I'm super excited to launch my first real world project.
😅 I quit my job at the end of 2020 and spent just over two months at a code bootcamp, (re)learning to code.
And now I'm launching a product!

I learned a few lessons last week, after openly talking about my journey to become a solo founder.
I had a couple hundred new followers and over 100k views on my tweets!
Time for a short thread on what I learned 👇

Last week I left GitHub. Here's thread about why and my plans moving forward 👇
😅 Today is my last day at GitHub after four amazing years.
It's definitely a bittersweet moment. I'm sad to be leaving such wonderful people but super excited to be pursuing my dreams. 🎉

In the future this account is going to be dedicated to growing fundamaker.com and supporting indie makers only 👏👏
Super excited to announce that in 10 days (October 1st) I will officially be a full time indie maker! No more day job! 😻
Over the next couple days I'm going to merge my personal Twitter with my maker account. If anyone has done something like that before, let me know if you have any tips? 🙏
I think I'll write a blog post to share my thinking about how I plan to approach going full time...but my first step is going to be to take some well earned time off 😁
Amazing what a day off can do...Feeling so relaxed 😎 Self care and R&R is so important in these strange times! 😷
