DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE CLASH AT A POLITICAL RALLY ORGANIZED BY OBEDIENT/OK MOVEMENT IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF NDC IN ASABA: POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION, ADVISE POLITICAL PARTIES/SUPPORTERS AGAINST ROAD PROCESSIONS The Delta State Police Command has commenced a full-scale investigation into a violent incident involving supporters during a political rally organised by the Obedient/OK movement in support of the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Asaba on Saturday, 7th November 2026, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to five others. 2. Prior to the rally, the Command received an intelligence report indicating the likelihood of violence and consequently invited the organisers to a security meeting. During the engagement, they were briefed on the identified security threats and advised against holding an open road procession. They were further encouraged to conduct their political activities at a designated venue where appropriate security will be provided for them. However, the organisers ignored this important security advice and proceeded with the road procession. 3. At about 1215hrs, a violent incident occurred along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, during which one person lost his life and five others sustained injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives mobilised to the scene and took the injured victims to the hospital for medical attention. Security was subsequently reinforced in the affected area to forestall further breakdown of law and order, while investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible. 4. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Samuel E. Erale, psc, mnips, condemns the violence and reiterates that political parties are free to conduct lawful campaigns and other political activities. He, however, advises all political parties and their supporters to avoid road processions in the interest of public safety and to liaise with the Police ahead of any political gatherings to facilitate adequate security arrangements. BBC Igbo Interviews Mrs Anulika, Woman in Viral Video, Following Alleged Humiliation by Her Co-Wife and Her Children in Ukehe, Enugu State. According to Mrs Anulika, the first wife, she had been living peacefully with her husband until he married a second wife. She claimed that although she was unable to have children, the insults and hostility started after the second marriage. She also accused her co-wife of insulting her. However, the second wife denied ever insulting Mrs Anulika because of her inability to have children, although she admitted that they were not on good terms. The husband, on his part, claimed that he had never heard either of the women insulting the other over childbearing issues. He also alleged that the first wife had previously returned to her family and said he did not invite her to the recent event where the incident occurred. Mrs Anulika further alleged that whenever she bought clothes for her co-wife, the woman would return them and tell her children that she did not want anything from someone she considered bad luck. She also revealed that following the viral video, she had received numerous calls from well-wishers, while different groups and individuals from various parts of the country had reached out to show her love, support and solidarity.

I always suspected that all the activism and paparazzi Mr Macaroni was doing in Nigeria was eventually going to serve his personal interests. Now he’s abroad, graduating from a university in London. What happened to graduating from one of the universities here in Nigeria? Why not stay back and complete your education here? This is what I find questionable about some of these people. They claim they are fighting for Nigerians, fighting for a better country and demanding that things work, but when it comes to their own lives, they want a completely different arrangement. So all that noise about fighting for Nigeria, what was it really about? Why rush abroad to graduate when you could have done the same here? At some point, Nigerians need to ask questions.
