It sure seems like the blockchain and metaverse could make use of a primitive for coordinates and location. So, please say hello to Geohashes. Starting today you can claim a 4-character geohash by contract or on the website. 👀 geohashes.com 1/6

Imagine an NFT collection/project/game where you'd be able to own land and compete in factions to gain territory The land would be taken from Uber’s Hexagonal Hierarchical Spatial Index so when you mint the project, you'd be able to own a hexagon plot of land on Earth.

What is the geohash on the other side of the globe? Playing with antipodes and some game ideas. We plan to publish some simple code examples for you all to play with.

Lore and Ingels’s ambitious plan would see an entire city built from scratch in the desert of the western USA 🤠 Within 40 years, the duo intend to establish a fully-contained city, which will be extended over 150,000 acres and have a population of five million 📈

Ok, a bunch of folks wanting to visualize their geohash here on earth. We've added an initial stub page for that and it will get better. Just tack on your geohash to the end of the link to have a look. For example geohashes.com/9mue

I scooped Australia and Europe if anyone would like to buy a continent on secondary. Also sniped the Indian Ocean to ensure safe passage.
