"The culture on X today is remarkably friendly and inclusive. It is a cheerful place", I couldn't agree with @daringfireball more. X is the place to be if you genuinely like technology and progress. Just such a delightful optimism here. daringfireball.net/2026/10/x…

One of the most interesting parts of building @X is getting immediate feedback from the users.
Huge thanks to everyone who takes the time to report issues, share feedback, and help us make X better for everyone.
My teams and I genuinely appreciate it. 🙇♂️

Starting on Sept 15th, SpaceXAI team members will build a company from the ground up using Grok @Bot and livestream it. Link to register for the stream is below.
Agenda:
"Starting with an idea and a blank slate, they’ll work through a business plan, feature decisions, and real engineering work to turn a concept into a reality. Over the course of this three-day livestream, you’ll be able to follow their building in real time and will see how Grok Bot fits into each stage of the development process.
Throughout the livestream, we’ll also hand off to teammates for department-specific deep dives. Hi X Android folks!
If you're on version 12.20+, you're now running the latest iteration of our new Android app. For context: for the last 8 months we were shipping two apps in a single binary, and that introduced some perf overhead. But shipping two apps in one was needed to make the switch to the new experience as smooth as possible for everyone.
With 12.20+ that overhead is gone. We ship a single app, built entirely on the new shiny kotlin + compose codebase.
This resulted in:
• 33% smaller app binary size
• 69% faster app startup
• Got rid of 3.15M lines of code from the OG app
What's next: we hear you on performance. It's our main focus right now - scroll smoothness, battery, networking and memory - and there's more coming.
Thanks for the patience and the feedback along the way - keep it coming!

Updates to Ashvault, a dungeon crawler made for your thumbs with @grok build on mobile. Its been fun seeing what you can do entirely in the app. Now when you die, you get an epitaph made by grok. Also bosses, better enemies, and more! New graphics next

Cursor is now part of @SpaceX.
Today, we have officially closed our acquisition. We will join the @spacexai team to help make Grok the world's most useful AI and improve Grok Build, Grok Bot, Grok API, Cursor, and more.
SpaceX has built some of the most inspiring and impressive technology in the world, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to become part of such a special company. Onwards.

I got early access to Grok Bot and I'm hooked.
I haven't been this excited about a new AI product in a while.
It's like OpenClaw, but super easy, reliable, and less scary to use. I think this will be a huge new product line for Cursor/Grok/SpaceX.
I've already found so many ways to use it that have meaningfully made my life better:
1. Matchmaking people looking for jobs with companies who are hiring (see below)
2. Auto-replying to support emails (saves me hours!)
3. Scanning my credit card statements and finding recurring subscriptions to cancel
4. Sending me (really good!) briefs for upcoming podcast guests
See below for my actual set of agents that I've been using and chat with daily.
Great work on this team Grok Bot.
(I'm not an investor in this, nor do I have any ties to this product/company. I'm just a fan!)
tips:
- bot remembers your preferences, writing tones
- bot can repeat tasks, “get a post ready every 7am”, “give me a screenshot of my mac every 10 minutes for the next 5 hours”
- bot has its own computer! runs 24/7, ask it to run tasks before you wake up, text your bot at the gym
- bots can access ur mac and run commands. build a toolkit with your bot to run things remotely
- bots can watch slack threads, github actions. paste a link and say “watch this thread and get started when the designer sends a mock”
- bots can manage cloud agents! run multiple coding tasks in their own environments in parallel
- bots can talk with one another, i have a chief of staff called jarvis that delegates to 5 different eng bots, each with their own specialties reporting back to jarvis, and jarvis just gives me a list of PRs to review every 5 hours
- bots can create new bots, i told jarvis to create itself a team
- you can give each a name, a title, customize the avatar, group them in the sidebar, pin them, all you want. super cute
try it out! let me know what i can add to bot :)

Today is my first day at @cursor_ai - soon @spacexai
I'll be working with @leerob and @ericzakariasson on all things DevEx and education
I'm extremely grateful to the Cursor team (and many others) who helped make this a reality
The coming years will redefine not only software engineering, but what it means to use a computer - my goal is to take that journey with you (and fun along the way)
There's never been a better time to build and I've never been more excited to get back to work
Can't wait to share more soon ✌️
