Unai Simon has won the Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award for 2026.
He beat his compatriot, David Raya, to the prize thanks to his efforts with Spain at the World Cup.
But Simon made a total of nine saves in eight games, which β as a body of work β surely does not outshine Raya's season for Arsenal.

Forever a stain and a scandal. That club deserves everything its going through. You cannot steal and con your way into titles and awards for too long. FAFO.
With respect to my colleagues in the football writing industry, I am stunned that Bruno Fernandes has been named FWA Footballer of the Year instead of Declan Rice. Rice has literally won more matches this season (35) than Fernandes has even played (34).

All fun and games till you find yourselves roasting coffee at 2.43am. Till you crave weekend plans of just staying in and having coffee. Till coffee feels empty if its not done well - as a ceremony. Till you cant have coffee without popcorn.
May this culture never die π
Coffee is quintessentially a culture before it is a beverage.
If you love coffee, you will know that by now.
In Ethiopia, history and culture confers coffee with a special spiritual, mystical status.
From cultivation to harvesting; from roasting to preparation; the special reverence for coffee shines through.
This has been the case for centuries.
Walk into any roadside kiosk or a top 5 star hotel, the traditional style of preparing coffee and the quality almost the same.
In East Africa, the rise of the middle class and popularity of 'coffee houses' has introduced Italian machines and different styles of consuming coffee, but nothing beats a traditional Ethiopian Arabica espresso.
Dont forget Utd legend and yet another Fergie loudmouth student, Phil Jones calling the 2 best defenders in the world weak because of one game

BREAKING: The U.S. is now preparing to completely abandon Gulf countries, as Trump envoy Tom Barrack directly warns Gulf allies that Washington can no longer guarantee their security indefinitely, telling regional officials in Doha that they must take responsibility for their own defense, signalling the end of the U.S. security umbrella in the Middle East, per the Wall Street Journal.
Barrack said the 80-year-old U.S. security-for-oil arrangement is no longer sustainable, pointing to regional defense partnerships as the way forward. The warning comes as Gulf states face Iranian strikes on U.S. military infrastructure and growing uncertainty over Washingtonβs future military commitment to the region.
