I've spent the last few days digging deeper into $WEBSITE (@notawebsite_rh), including speaking directly with the team. The more I understand what they're actually building, the more interesting the thesis becomes. At first, $WEBSITE looks like a weird on-chain experiment. The website is split into 165 ownable slots. You can buy them, edit them, rent them, upgrade them or take someone else's slot by paying a premium. But that's only the proof of concept. The real product is much bigger. $WEBSITE is building a tokenization protocol that could allow ANY website to turn its advertising inventory into ownable NFTs. Think: → Homepage banners → Sidebars → Sponsored sections → Buttons → Premium placements A publisher adds a simple piece of code to their website. Their advertising inventory becomes tokenized. Investors can own it. Advertisers can rent it. Publishers monetize it. And $WEBSITE becomes the discovery + management layer connecting everything. This creates an idea I find particularly interesting: Internet attention becomes an investable asset. Imagine buying an advertising slot on a growing website. Today it gets 100K visitors/month. You believe it'll eventually get 2M. As the site's attention grows, its advertising inventory potentially becomes more valuable. Advertisers pay to rent your slot. You generate income while still owning an asset you can potentially sell later. It's almost like digital real estate for internet attention. The team's go-to-market strategy also makes sense. They're not pretending they're going to replace Google Ads or onboard 10 million websites. Their immediate target is much simpler: Get ONE quality publisher. Because if desirable inventory exists, investors have a reason to own it and advertisers have a reason to rent it. Publisher first. Everything else follows. They've already launched a developer SDK, and they're building a simplified platform where site owners will eventually be able to add tokenization with something similar to an AdSense code snippet. There is also a real business model underneath it. $WEBSITE plans to charge fees for tokenization and transactions conducted through the platform. Potential token value accrual could eventually come through buybacks or revenue distribution, although the team is deliberately prioritizing building revenue first rather than promising token holders economics that don't exist yet. I actually like that approach. There are still major risks. Publisher adoption isn't proven. Advertiser demand isn't proven. Token value accrual isn't finalized. And this is still an extremely early microcap. But that's also why I'm interested. We're not looking at a mature protocol priced for success. We're watching an experiment trying to create an entirely new market: Ownable, tradeable and rentable internet advertising inventory. The next catalyst I'm watching isn't the chart. It's: Quality Publisher #1. If an independent publisher tokenizes desirable inventory… someone buys it… and advertisers actually pay to rent it… then $WEBSITE will have demonstrated something far more important than a token pumping: Proof that internet attention can become an investable on-chain asset. Very early. Very speculative. But this is exactly the type of project I want to find before everyone else does: Working proof of concept. Original idea. Real business model. Tiny relative attention. Robots hold real stock → people want robots → they need tokens to wake them → tokens get destroyed → each one worth more → the same 5% buys more stock → round again. The honest part.
