I feel more people should be discussing Pauline Hanson suing over a satirical song about her back in 1997 and 2003. @PPantsdown (Simon Hunt) released a song, 'I'm A Backdoor Man' that arranged Hanson soundbites to have her saying . . . 'I'm very proud that I'm not natural. I'm a backdoor man for the Ku Klux Klan' and 'I'm a very caring potato', among other words of wisdom. Interestingly, Hanson's so-called support of satire escaped her and through her lawyers, she lodged defamation proceedings in the QLD courts, arguing the satire was injurious and defamatory and the lyrics and audio imputations falsely portrayed her as: • a homosexual, a transvestite/man, or a prostitute • engaging in unnatural sexual practices or pedophilia • associating with the Ku Klux Klan • being a subhuman or a "caring potato" (please try to read that with a straight face) The proceedings resulted in the granting of an injunction in Pauline Hanson's favour restraining the continued publication of the satirical material. After remaining legally dormant for roughly five years, Hanson reactivated the existing defamation case in the Supreme Court of Queensland in mid-2003. Legal analysts and media noted that Hanson revived the lawsuit specifically around the same time she was facing high-profile criminal charges and prison time for electoral fraud. Anywhoo, it seems Pauline Hanson and her team of bald men are very happy to cruelly and sadistically mock others, especially women with disabilities, but when it comes to mocking Pauline, that so-called sense of humour suddenly vaporises. .

Politicians telling us to ‘turn down the temperature’ is peak hypocrisy, @AmyRemeikis writes. "Why is it the people pointing to the fire are those being told to stop being so vocal about it?" "And what of our leaders who urge us to turn down the temperature? The same leaders who take selfies with Donald Trump ..." deepcutnews.com/p/politician…

7. This trend towards anger & hate will continue, & quite possibly get worse, for as long as our economy serves the few rather than the many This is the national conversation we need Urgently Rather than blame social media Which is but an outlet for underlying frustration

Or... You could #RaiseTheRate so many are NOT living in poverty instead of rewarding the poverty porn industry - again 🤬
A little generosity can go a long way at Christmas. The Kmart Wishing Tree is a simple way to help make the season brighter for families who are doing it tough. If you can, consider adding a gift this year. 🎄🎁

AI companies say their products can cure cancer, take us to Mars, but apparently not respect the copyright of artists and creators... that just doesn't add up. Maybe the Minister isn't afraid but artists and others are!

It’s CRAZY that they even have to state they won’t be using AI. Just get RID of it already 😭
BBC's Blue Planet III will deliberately keep some murkier and less polished underwater shots to assure viewers they are not using AI. The series will be narrated by 100-year-old David Attenborough and won't use a single frame with AI.

Before your friendly ALP stan tries to make out like this is not happening. It is! Not sure how many like me found out not via letter as this piece but by the ATO stealing your tax return on behalf of Centrelink. No letter as last time Centrelink dealt with was 2 decades ago! 🤬

I completely disagree with this. It is absolutely viable, if you do it right. The problem is that a lot of people who open restaurants have no experience or any fucking idea what they’re doing. They also don’t listen to people with experience, and hire people who don’t have the skills to help them. So, they buy things in.
The reason every restaurant is "Sysco slop" is because running a restaurant with good ingredients that makes a profit isn't a viable business model in the United States.
