What a fucking joke this country is. Meanwhile we are deporting 80 year old Mexican grandpas who sell ice cream.
Defeated Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro and his family have landed in Miami after fleeing his country. This comes a day after they were granted United States visas by the Trump administration.

The Trump admin says they don't want criminals coming into our country. Unless they're just as corrupt as he is.
“The State Department will issue visas to Flavio Bolsanaro and his family and allow them entry into the United States," a senior State Department official confirms to @jmhansler.

They used real registered voters’ names without permission, dressed up, and tried to apply for ballots while secretly filming—then posted it to claim the system is insecure. Minnesota law bars intentionally misrepresenting your identity when applying for a ballot. They never cast votes, but that doesn’t erase the identity-theft and unlawful-voting charges. Testing a process isn’t a free pass to impersonate actual people at the polls. The law applies to everyone.
BREAKING: MAGA provocateurs James O’Keefe and Cam Higby have been hit with FELONY charges in Minnesota! They allegedly impersonated REAL voters, dressed up as Muslims and tried to manufacture an election fraud scandal. The irony is absolutely staggering. These are the same people who have spent years screaming about election fraud, and now THEY are the ones facing felony election-related charges. You cannot make this stuff up. Hold them accountable!

Today we learned that it was a 28-year-old DOGE operative who gutted USAID, and HR had no record of him working there. Totally normal stuff.

What now? FBI agents are reportedly worried they could be ordered to polling places—and they don’t know what orders may come next. People sworn to enforce the law are anxious that political pressure could put them in a position where following an order might conflict with their legal obligations. FBI Director Kash Patel has refused to rule out sending agents to polling places. Federal law generally prohibits deploying armed federal personnel at election sites, with narrow exceptions. Meanwhile, reporting based on interviews with more than 40 sources describes growing alarm inside the bureau over its election preparations and the lack of clear guidance.

This is not good. Russell Vought is the author of Project 2025, which Trump has been faithfully executing since Day 1. Project 2025 is based on unitary executive power. Here are the things they've already done: - Replaced career civil servants - Direct control of the DOJ and "law enforcement" - Dismantling independent agencies - Bypassing Congress for funds that were already appropriated Here's what's left: - Using emergency powers It advocates for aggressive deployments of executive authority, including misusing the Insurrection Act to suppress domestic protests or bypass traditional legislative checks. There's always a tell with Trump. "In a few weeks." The midterms is his Coup 2.0.
Trump shouts out Russ Vought and then says, ominously, "we have some big surprises coming up in a few weeks, right Russ? He's gonna be one of the important people in the history of our country."

I haven’t forgotten the heartbreak, anger, and sense of betrayal so many felt on Election Night in 2024. For some, it was more than disappointment. It was genuine fear for the future. Whatever your politics, please don’t take your voice for granted. Make a plan. Show up. VOTE.

So let me get this right: if you’re a corrupt right-wing leader who loses an election and is under investigation you get asylum? If you’re a mom and kid fleeing violence you’re not?

I now have two sources close to Susie Wiles who claim that Trump is preparing a vast misinformation campaign for November 4th, built around conspiracy theories alleging widespread election fraud. The plan? Declare victory regardless of the results, accuse Democratic officials of manufacturing ballots overnight, claim voting machines were secretly manipulated, and demand that Republican candidates refuse to concede. In this scenario, the goal isn’t to prove fraud. It’s to convince millions of Americans that any election Republicans lose must have been stolen.

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

It’s really something, isn’t it? The entire country knows that if Republicans lose, no way will Trump accept the results. No way will he. He’ll again lie, claim the election was “stolen,” and incite violence. Again. And everyone knows it. He’s the biggest sore loser in all of human history. It’s really something, isn’t it?

Deservedly scathing op-ed by the NYT: “If Democrats retake both houses of Congress, and more state governments than they now control, it will tell the world that Mr. Trump does not represent most Americans. It will demonstrate that a country that starts to slide toward autocracy can move back to normalcy, as happened in Hungary this spring. Most important, it will create a desperately needed check on Mr. Trump during his final two years in office. … In a 21-month span, he has done more harm to democracy and the rule of law than any other president in the modern era and perhaps longer than that. He has broken his oath to defend the Constitution by trying to rewrite it on his own. He has refused to honor Congress’s power of the purse and misused national security laws for political ends. He has defied federal court orders on Medicaid funding, deportation orders and more. He has dismantled the Justice Department’s legacy as an impartial enforcer of federal law, turning it into an instrument of retribution against his adversaries while canceling investigations into his allies. He has appointed inept sycophants to oversee crucial government functions, including law enforcement, national defense and public health. He has sought to disenfranchise large numbers of voters, claiming fraud that cannot be found, and championed an extreme new approach to partisan gerrymandering. He has physically besmirched the White House by demolishing the East Wing and financing a garish renovation with donations from wealthy allies.” nytimes.com/2026/10/27/opini…
