His "crime" was holding an Israeli flag.
He, and his killer, are the reason I stand with Israel.

I've met Davros twice (I think):
Once when I hosted a Guardian Live event about his book in 2014.
Another time I interviewed him for The Big Issue when I was guest editing in 2015.
He also gave my publishers an endorsement for my book, which I was mortified about at the time mostly because I thought it was so OTT it would obviously invite ridicule (which it did).
At the time I saw him as a crude means to reach disillusioned younger people - the sort of people who wouldn't be reached by conventional journalists and politicians advocating for the policy of exterminating all humans and becoming the supreme power of the universe .
As a result I was willing to overlook, or just not look into, his history of problematic behaviour / statements, including sexism towards Sarah Jane Smith and Romana.

America feels like a whole other world to me like I have not once looked at a British celebrity to tell me who to vote for and I wouldn’t expect them to speak about it bc I can make my own decisions as an adult

People wondering ‘how did progressives fall for this bollocks’ - because progressivism is all bollocks, only it’s usually masked a little better.
Has an interesting take on Heartstopper, and the persistent craze for "shipping".

I spoke to several parents who’d encountered this teacher as part of my recent Telegraph investigation. I think his photo may have done the rounds on X before.
He identified as ‘non-binary’, I'm told - and pupils were instructed to address him as 'Mx.' Parents said he ran a lunchtime LGBT club for primary school pupils.
“We all call him the man in the dress,” one pupil told a mother.
I don’t think this is an appropriate way for a male primary school teacher to present himself at work.
And if parents have questions about what’s happening at their child’s school, they should feel able to ask them. The parents I spoke to were afraid to do even that.

I find this a fascinating exchange. A man who claims to be an associate professor in political theory not only can’t engage in outlining his arguments but thinks being asked to defend his position makes us a hive mind/drones. Naturally, he has now blocked replies.

It was a good run.
Thanks for the memories.

I wouldn’t have listened to this song twice if the kids hadn’t liked it so much. I still don’t know why it connected with them so much. It’s oddly shapeless, yet epic. Slightly unknowable, but moreish. Ethereal and propulsive. Magnificent.

How can the BBC teach about Adolf Hitler with no meaningful reference to the Holocaust?
In its biography of Adolf Hitler, BBC Bitesize – an educational resource for GCSE students – apparently fails to mention key events which led to the Holocaust, including any reference to the “Final Solution”, a plan devised by the Nazis to orchestrate the mass murder of European Jews. It also makes no reference to Kristallnacht, a coordinated, state-led pogrom where Jewish homes, businesses, schools, and synagogues were looted and burned resulting in over 30,000 Jewish men being arrested and sent to concentration camps.
This pathetic attempt at educating students is so alarmingly vacant of key historical references that it almost reads as a whitewash of the Nazi dictator’s brutality.
At a time when antisemitism in schools is at a record high, how can we expect the situation to improve if our resources even on Holocaust education – let alone contemporary antisemitism – are so woefully inadequate.
Combatting antisemitism starts with education, and the BBC must urgently revise this resource.
