this week we crossed $30k daily volume for the first time ever. four times.
these are the bullet points on growth for our first monthly investor's update:
(oct/26)
processed $572k in volume
crossed $1.17m in cumulative volume
gross profit grew 107% mom to $5.904
covered 64% of october opex of $9.206
we are still holding about 9 months of runway
also to add that this is the month we most acquired users so far, with monthly active wallets jumping from 469 on september to 1.296 in october, a 176% growth mom.
this is result of our GTM plan being executed since first week of october, we still have more to go and we are finally having more clarity on ICP, cohorts and kpi's.
however, growing up hurts.
Conta was put to test during this last weeks and we understood how urgent it is for us to start playing the game as grown ups.
that means S tier infrastructure, with the best stack available to enable reaching 50.000 users in the upcoming months.
our target is to deliver the same value proposition to 12x more users, 12x faster and 12x more reliable.
another main focus on Conta for last month was adapting to the new regulatory cenario with the oct-30th deadline for providers.
the job isn't finished, we've been working together with @PodsFinance @norafinancexyz @hodle_app @woovibr on how to make the process more compliant and safe for everyone involved, without hurting user's experience and abstraction.
one of the great benefits of these changes will be the reduction of almost 80% of out pix fee cost, expanding our gross margin even more from the fees we make on onchain transactions.
two weeks from now, me and @aliaga1337 will be flying to NY, preparing ourselves for the @base batches demoday, launching our next round. if you're ny and want to talk, please ping us on dms to find a time irl.
next step is reaching 50.000 users and $1M ARR.
today we had such a special day, we were at the @Founder_Haus in Florianopolis, Brazil, shooting a beautiful video (I haven't seen yet, sure that is gonna be beautiful tho) with one very special @contavcbr customer: Silvana, a cook from Tucumán, Argentina that migrated to Brazil and makes the most amazing empanadas we ever had (sorry Salteños).
a big shoutout to @athcamera for helping tell the story to the world why such technologies as @contavcbr @usePicnicBR @joinpeanut @norafinancexyz are so important for those living in our country.

conta was also present on @islandgirlsxyz meetup today at the amazing cafeteria Broddo Cafe, in Campeche (great for tech cowork if you're around).
not only that, but two days ago we presented at @islanddao demoday live for almost 10.000 ppl watching.
thanks islanddao team for the opportunity to help spread our word.
amazing month behind us, today we start a new one with huge challenges in front of us. in retail, everyday counts.
we keep building.

the biggest week ever for @contavcbr : all time high numbers for user acquisition, active users, volume and fees.
a recap of some initiatives that drove those numbers up:
@base ecossystem (@BaseBrasil_ @baselatam @baseposting ) has been giving a lot of exposure for our work, we appreciate the support 🙏
referrals on Reserva are starting to pickup, we're seeing community leaders and content creators sharing their links and posting Conta's 101 videos to onboard
this week Conta was at The Garage (@superteambr and @colosseum hackathon) where we had the chance to share more about the project, the vision and next steps. thanks @kukasolana for inviting us and congrats to @norafinance e @usebido)
we are now producing amazing video contents with @_frontandy on our main Instagram and X channel's, the focus os these videos is to help explain Conta to the ICP and help distribute
numbers are looking great, we are now growing consistently and expect to see a higher acceleration factor with the next set of actions we started implementing last 7 days.
this was the first week that the system failed tho.
during this week Conta's system failed on the redundancy architecture we were running and that triggered us to expand and improve the design and deadman's design.
immediately after solving the issue, caused by an issue with the main liquidity pool we were using being exhausted, we've pushed several updates on the infra, making the system more secure:
BRS is now the main asset on liquidation and runs two pools for redundancy, one in @base and other in @solana
our settlement process identifies the best route to execute the order and immediately decide where to go based on the higher probability for succeed.
we've built a dashboard and triggers for all pools Conta use, so we are now able to see, alert and correct inconsistencies faster and move from a reactive to a proactive flow.
we've asked @norafinancexyz to add more liquidity to their base pool, increasing the total to 4x the previously one.
these updates on the redundancy system make the infra more solid to be able to catchup with our growth rate, we are now working on preparing Conta's infra to hold together with 2.000 WAU.
this week we had the chance to go out and talk to lot of customers, hear their feedback, watch them interacting with it and ask questions about the why's on their use cases.
last seven days gave us more confidence on keeping the focus on the problem, ignoring the noises and doubling down fast on what gives results.
next milestones: $500k monthly volume, 3.000 users, $6.000 monthly gross profit, 99% uptime, $25k TVL on Reserva.
we keep building

70% of Conta's gross profit came in the last 30 days, with every single day closing green.
our business model: every pix a user makes costs us a fixed fee, and every time a user sends or receives dollars we charge a variable fee.
when total fees exceed total pix costs we are gross profitable, and that has held every day for the last 30 days.
here are this week's highlights:
- volume grew 30% compared to last week's, reaching $655.8k all-time
- september closed at 2x august's volume ($374k vs $183k)
- 70% of our all-time gross profit of $4,007.48 came in the last 30 days
- all-time high of 218 WAU, with 1,983 wallets created
- lowest weekly count of fraud attempts so far
- started executing our GTM strategy
- first $5k TVL on Reserva vaults
the first thing to address this week: @contavcbr was selected as 1 of 10 teams, out of 750 applications, for @base batches.
with base batches we move from a mvp stage into a pre-seed, using @buildonbase's amplification and mentoring to build a safer and easier to use application.
we also started executing our GTM strategy. it took several weeks of reading data, internal discussion and advice from mentors and advisors to align it with the problem we are solving, our ICP and what the team is able to execute.
the strategy works as concentric circles. the inner circle is a segment where we already have channels and contacts, people who understand the pain and trust the technology. each next layer moves toward less crypto-native users, and our most active users become the channels that distribute the app to the next layer.
distribution and CAC decide whether this business works. we are moving as fast as is comfortable: testing channels, reading the data, and pushing or pivoting based on results, without adopting the playbook of a series A company.
our targets for the next 60 days are $500k in monthly volume and 300 WAU, up from 218 today.
// for brazilian creators and marketers: if you want to work with us, check our creator briefing at hackmd.io/@thedonkey/Sky7TOA… and reach out via DMs or t.me/contavc.
this week we also launched Reserva, our savings vaults, which reached $5k TVL in its first week. this video explains the feature, with english subtitles: nitter.gq/Thedonkey/status/21060…
the product itself is a saving account, a saving feature and a growth flywheel in a single part of the app. we trust this to be one of the core angles on user's relationship with Conta, allowing them to frictionlessly save money and help kill their debts. Reserva is the first product of a framework we have envision to deliver the best value possible to our ICP.
also this week, lot of improvements on the app stability and a new function for users to add a multiple passkeys to access their accounts.
the team started building and testing enterprise account for MEIs, a type of entity for micro companies in Brazil, where we want to deliver an easy to use powerful application for business owners to receive money from their clients, to accept credit cards (working with @SaturdayBank on this) using their phones and help them manage their finances separated from their personal ones.
excited for the week ahead.
as always
we keep building.

if you saw the news and want to learn about what we're building at @contavcbr : this post's for you.
Conta is a payments account for brazil. the balance sits in a local stablecoin in reais (local currency), and only the user can move it. it's a self-custodial wallet fully abstracted to a non-crypto user being able to use it.
two facts about brazil explain why we built this way:
first is brazil's instant payment system: pix, operated bt the central bank and free for individuals settling it transactions in seconds, at any hour, 24/7.
in 2025, PIX moved $6.9 trillion across 79.8 billion transactions, while visa and mastercard combined moved close to $880 billion and 48.1 billion transactions.
170 million ppl (79% of the population) use PIX on their day to day lifes.
second is the automatic debt collection where, in brazil, a bank can debit incoming funds from a client's account to cover a debt owed to that bank. no questions asked.
the authorization is in the account contract and the debit runs before the client chooses what to pay. a salary arrives, and part or all of it goes to a credit card balance, an overdraft or late fees.
serasa, brazil's largest credit bureau, counted 83.9 million people in default in july 2026, roughly half of the adult population.
also, brazil's central bank data shows that households spent 28.9% of their monthly income on debt payments in june 2026, the highest level in the series, with averages interest rates for 60% a year, going upto 436% a year for credit card debts.
paying this is mathematically impossible.
that said, a brazilian in debt cannot safely receive money in their own account, because the bank can take it, that's why millions of brazilians receive their salary in the account of a relative or a friend.
money that cannot stay in an account cannot accumulate, and if you can't accumulate, you can't save money to try to get better deals renegotiating the debt. the leverage is unbalanced.
that's why we built Conta: no third party can debit, freeze or seize the balance, and that includes banks, creditors and Conta.
only the user holds the keys that move the funds, it's self-custodial technology in the hands of a regular housewife, a plumber, a single mom, an uber, an entrepreneur, anyone.
a salary that lands in Conta stays there until the user decides where it goes.
the account in Conta does three things:
it receives pix from any pix key
it sends pix to any pix key
it pays any pix qr code
transfesr takes about 12 seconds on average, users open their accounts using only their face's or fingerprints (passkey), and the app looks excatly like the banking apps brazilians already use.
underneath, the balance is held in a local stablecoins (@norafinancexyz ) pegged to the real, on @base.
they sit in a self-custodial smart wallet created at the first passkey login, where fully account abstraction sponsors every transaction, so the user never pays gas or have to learn about networks, tokens or slippage.
an user can send any token from any evm network to their Conta address and convert with one click to their BRS balance, in under ten seconds, with no bridge, no dex and no network selection.
a token the user never learned to use becomes a balance that pays a pix, none of this is visible in the app, and the word crypto appears nowhere the user can see.
Conta offers no credit and charges no interest.
no Conta product earns more when the user owes.
we are bringing onchain technology to tackle real world problems, building the app that will retire banks and bring 80 million ppl onchain.
we are live at conta.vc.

30 days ago we told @base team that we would cross $500k volume mark in february'27, we suck at forecasting.
this week in numbers for @contavcbr:
- crossed the $500k mark (we are now at $530k)
- set a new record on WAU (77% higher than previously)
- made an ath on weekly fees (+71% v last week)
- hit a new record on daily acquired users (66 in a day)
*all numbers live on our ledger: ir.conta.vc
adoption is the word of the week, our users are jumping in the app, with a very short learning curve and a convenience structure where they can get things done in few clicks. abstraction, user centered UI and a good understanding of our ICP is what we responsible this for.
we've been talking daily to our users, on our customer support tickets, we always finish with a simple question: 'how you using conta and why is relevant for you'. this is a game changer for us, we now have direct contact and learning, on a qualitative basis, of our user's perception of value and what he thinks we do right, and where we should be getting better. simple and efficient.
this week we officially launched our Reserva vaults, a place you can save money, earn yield and get paid when refering your friends. all of this made possible with @norafinancexyz 's BRS and some gud tek.
Reserva has 4 cool features that worth mentioning:
1. You can simply send money from your balance to your vault, one click, in reais, and start earning.
2. we launched an @acorns inspired feature that you can enable rounding your payments, and the cents go straight to you Reserva everytime you send a pix or pay a QR code. Simple, not huge volumes, but makes the habit.
3. all your referals fees goes directly to your saving accounts, no need to claim, no need to wait, just growing your wealth with the help of your friends activity.
4. we've shipped our modest 401k version: Conta Match: on the savings tab, choose to save automatically up to 1% of your onchain volumes, then for every dollar you put in the vault, we match the same amount (you need to keep the value for 30 days).
we are focused on helping 80 million brazilians saving money to kill their debts, our product, our features and our flywheel needs to be aligned to the core problem we tackle. that's our way to design the solution.
we'll be measuring the TVL in the vaults at this start and following our users feedback and questions to make the product better with time, also, we are now producing some cool low-budget videos to help promote this launch inside communities we participate (btw, if you're not in the @contavcbr telegram community, just click here: t.me/contavc)
on the fraud part, this week we hit the lowest number of disputes since the start of August, that's a metric we are happy about it, our recent measures, adjustments and AI powered triggers have been showing results and keeping the operation safe for all.
lot of cools stuff happening in the background as well, we changed the payments RPCs and link's routes, making the processing time of our payments way better; also improved the offramp design, reducing the failures rate; the UI team also cooked and reviewed every single line of code for navigation and behavior so the app feels waaaaay smoother (it is, try it); last but not least, we added a better receipt model for every fiat transaction that users can send to the receivers, also, today the user @ianmasae gave a good feedback on linking the receipt to the onchain activity, that may be an update soon after some review (appreciate the idea).
what a week, we're so proud of the team and so grateful to all of you that have been supporting us and genuinely wanting us to win.
pls show some love following our team @aliaga1337 @imphoebbeebe @pennepanda @fbublitz
excited about this week, lot of work to do from all sides, aiming to move Conta to a new stage, with more users, higher volume, better experience and less debt and interest rates.
one step at time, consistently.
we keep building.

today @contavcbr crossed R$ 1.000.000 in processed volume.
around U$ 205.000, in a little under three months, with 906 users and nothing spent on acquisition. no campaign, no paid channel, no incentives. every number is public at ir.conta.vc, straight from the production ledger.
a payments product that moves other people's money breaks in ways a content app does not. providers freeze. rails degrade. fraud finds the shortest path through your kyc. we spent the first ninety days looking for where it breaks.
we added multiple liquidity providers mid-flight when the first ones froze withdrawals for days and we understood we should never relay on a single provider.
we tightened kyc to its hardest setting after a fraud attempt, watched conversion drop, and rebuilt it into something tiered: a new architecture designed to give regular users freedom, but that kills the flow of fraudsters operating black money.
we are moving our main structure to the beuatiful designed @norafinancexyz 's BRS, with a wrapped cBRL from Conta to dilute the issuer risk from all providers we operate, and a big change in our business model, that will allow us to earn a new revenue stream and reduce our costs by 80%.
three things change: stability, because the flow stops depending on one provider staying up. cost, because the per-transaction fee we absorb on every pix leg comes down. revenue, because the provider shares yield on the aggregate balance conta originates.
today conta earns when money moves. with yield on balance, it earns when money sits still, which is what the product asks the user to do. the user we serve holds small balances and moves them in Reais, generating nothing under the current model. yield on balance makes that user viable.
sponsored gas, passkey access, no seed phrase, no wallet the user ever sees. underneath it, controls that let us run payments safely at a level most operations this early cannot offer. we also adopted robust frameworks that constantly attack all our endpoints, code, vaults, trying to identify flaws as a constant process, not as an one-time very expensive audit.
one thing that came out of that work is the receiving link. a user gets a permanent link and sends it to anyone who needs to pay them. they get paid into their conta, in reais, and the amount is not debited on arrival or stuck in an account they no longer control.
brazilian household debt is at a record. debt service eats 29,7% of monthly income, up from 22% in 2019. eighty-one million adults are in default. cards revolve at up to 440% a year, and credit margin is the largest revenue line at every major bank, more than double what they make on fees.
neither the banks nor the government will treat this as the emergency it is, and not because they cannot see it. the banking model depends on this structure holding, and the state depends on the banks incentives on keeping the user as financier of their business model.
debt at those rates compounds faster than income grows. the tower gets taller and thinner every year. when it comes down, millions of people lose usable access to their own accounts at once, and they will need somewhere for money to land that is not inside the system that just failed them.
what matters is whether conta can take millions of users in a matter of days when that happens. that is what we have been building for since the first line of code.
the infrastructure work is in progress, we are happy with the infra we have today for acquiring 1.000 users a week. from september, we'll have infra to acquire 1.000 users a day, so we are finally starting spending on acquisition for the first time.
the plan is concentric. the core is people who carry the debt problem and already understand the technology. around them is the first ring: same problem, no crypto literacy, reached by someone they already trust.
outward from there through channels that do not need literacy at all.
recently we came upon @TrueSightDAO 's model and got inspired to build growth and incentives based on proof of work. users access a private vault holding fees, so they can claim their referrals based on total of work and value generated for the company. our goal is to create a flywheel that will give our community the ability to chose between immediate liquidity or long term belief in Conta, boosting their earning for how early they are and how far they can see the vision.
we are in the design stage of this structure and will share more publicly on an article soon.
august represented a 529% MoM growth in our volume and 90% growth in our user base.
our customers trust us more, they have been also giving us feedbacks and helping build the Conta we want to see in the near future.
there's no gtm strategy that will bring a million users to an onchain product in a month, but there's a product with a strategy to acquire ten million when the Jenga breaks.
we keep building for that.
