agencies would rather buy clean data than babysit their own agents. Makes total sense

Once you have a highly complex system, you still need people who actually understand system design and principles. AI is only as powerful as the person using it

From being water cannoned by police to winning an Olympic medal Vinesh Phogat of India makes history by beating the undefeated (for 81 matches) world champion in wrestling, assuring her an Olympic medal Last year, she was one of the wrestlers leading a protest against the WFI president, who has a rape charge against him This will be her first Olympic medal and it's one that is well deserved ❤️

I disagree that Software Engineers should be accountable. Everyone writes bad code. Some more than others. If that bad code can be easily released to cause havoc in the real world, the problem is the management and processes that enabled it. Hold the company and its management responsible. All programmers that I know wish they could spend more time on tests, have better QA processes, have good practices like canary deployments, etc. We have to actually force ourselves to release code we don't think is good enough because management is standing there tapping their foot and pointing at their watch. The problem at Crowdstrike isn't the engineer that messed up, because all of their engineers will mess up sooner or later. The problem is the poor processes they have in place, a lack of sensible precautions like canary deployments and sufficient automated and manual testing. The fault lies 100% with management, and I hope they are held accountable in the lawsuits that follow. But watch them pay themselves hefty bonuses while they shift the blame to the people at the bottom of the hierarchy who didn't have responsibility or a say in the matter.

I don't think people elsewhere fully grasp what's happening in NCR and just how hot it is. At 7am, the tap water is boiling hot. The sun hurts the eye. There's no night time anymore. For 24 hours the temperature feels above 40C. Which means during night the water is as hot

We're not fully prepared for a world in which 20 year old summer interns are uploading thousands of pages of proprietary company financial and product information to some LLM company that just raised $2.2M and hasn't gotten around to creating a terms of service or privacy policy yet
