No, you cannot walk 10,000 steps daily, get 8 hours of sleep, cook every night, clean every day, take care of a family, make time for your own hobbies, and still be productive at work every day. This is not just propaganda, it is nonsense. Free yourself from it.

Rome and Han China were the two biggest empires on the planet at the same time. Together they ruled something like half the people alive. And for about 200 years they knew each other almost entirely through rumors, middlemen, and one fabric. The Romans called the Chinese the "Seres," the silk people. Nobody in Rome had any idea how silk was made. Virgil and Pliny the Elder both wrote that it was combed off the leaves of trees. What Romans did know was that they wanted it. Silk got so fashionable that in 14 AD the Senate banned men from wearing it because it was seen as effeminate. Seneca complained that silk dresses were so sheer a woman wearing one might as well be naked. Pliny griped that India, China, and Arabia were draining 100 million sesterces a year out of the empire for luxuries. The Chinese, meanwhile, called Rome "Daqin," roughly "Great Qin." The Han histories said its people were tall and upright and resembled the Chinese, which is how it got the name. They described 400 walled cities, stone buildings, relay stations for messengers, and gold and silver coins. They also got some things beautifully wrong. One Chinese account says the king of Daqin is not permanent. Worthy men are chosen to rule, and if there's a disaster or bad weather, the king is replaced, and the one removed accepts it without complaint. Somewhere in there is a garbled echo of Roman politics passed down through a dozen translators. In 97 AD the Han general Ban Chao sent an envoy named Gan Ying west to actually find Rome. He made it as far as the coast of the Persian Gulf. There, Parthian sailors told him the voyage could take up to two years, that crews packed three years of supplies, and that men at sea got so homesick some of them died. Gan Ying turned around. The Chinese later figured out why. Their own history says the Parthians wanted to control the silk trade and deliberately blocked contact between the two empires. The middlemen had every reason to make the ocean sound terrifying. It took until 166 AD for someone to get through. A group arrived at the Han court by sea, through what is now Vietnam, claiming to be sent by "Andun," almost certainly Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus. They brought ivory, rhino horn, and tortoiseshell. The Chinese historians noted there were no jewels at all and suspected the stories about Daqin's wealth had been exaggerated. Most historians today think these "ambassadors" were enterprising merchants. And no, a lost Roman legion from the Battle of Carrhae did not end up founding a town in China. That theory was popular for decades, but DNA studies of the people of Liqian found no Roman ancestry. Two superpowers, roughly 5,000 miles apart, each one sure the other was fabulously rich and a little bit strange. One envoy got close enough to smell the ocean and got talked out of it.

Today a Palestinian State is necessary. Not for moral or ideological reasons, only for pragmatic ones. A portion of America's elite class has gone rogue. They are now dedicating their immense wealth and power into solely one issue. The promotion of the state of israel over the the American people. This has manifested in Trump's war in iran, censorship, banning artists from stadiums, getting normal people fired, sending politicians tens of millions of dollars in campaign races for israel, making sure congress ends billions of us tax dollars to israel every year. It's a huge problem. The US political system is not built to handle a rogue elite who puts the interests of a foreign nation over the interests of America. The only way to stop this group is to get leverage over them. To put a check on their power. A Palestinian state lets the US discipline this group by taking land away from Israel. Right now there is no check on their power. It's a big problem.
CNN: “Israel’s favorability all negative — not just with Dems, the general electorate has turned against Israel… not just a left issue, an American issue… a SIXTY-SEVEN POINT SHIFT AGAINST ISRAEL…”

America hates its children. The average school lunch in the US is complete dogshit. You can tell how a countey values its children by what they feed them. Richest country in the history of the world and our kids get garbage while China's kids are eating like royalty.
✨🇨🇳This is the lunch at a middle school in China. Allowing growing children to eat as much as they can is the most important thing for them.

If you are non white, the Republican party hates you. It’s as simple as that.
I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

There was a time in American life when a group of patriotic young American men -- Christians all -- would have descended upon this turd and beaten the everliving shit out of him, if only in memory of their WW2 veteran fathers (or even grandfathers). The good ol' days.
A SWASTIKA. IN AN AMERICAN ARENA. IN 2026. A massive Nazi flag was unfurled during Jewish fighter Ben Azoulay’s match in Orlando. This is America, not Nazi Germany. Antisemitism must NEVER become normal.

Influencers are the private equity of culture: draining whatever’s “cool” until higher prices and worse experiences push out the original fan base. Then they move on to the next thing, leaving the original to die as fans lose interest or the ability to participate.
How as a grown man you aren’t embarrassed by this is beyond me. It’s time to ban influencers from sports.

Joe Rogan: “Just imagine how much less crime there would be if no one was ever starving, no one was ever desperate, no one was ever worried about where their next meal was gonna come from or whether or not they’re gonna have a roof over their head. What if there’s no more poverty? We could’ve already done that. But you would have to get all those rich people that are in charge of industry and running corporations and in government to agree to make the world a better place for everybody”

What is scary about the end of literacy as a culture is that people who do sit down and read actual books are probably the losers now who can't function. The people who just are zonked out on various apps all day consuming short form video content are working jobs, buying homes, raising families.

Nobody seems to understand this but I cannot stress enough that a judge told Anthropic that training their AI models didn't constitute copyright violation as long as they 'transferred' the text instead of 'copying' it, legally necessitating the destruction of the books
It's completely unnecessary to destroy books when machines like this exist. This book scanner by Treventus for example, can scan fragile books without destroying it.
