the CCP watching Democrats kneecap America's AI industry
Top of the Democratic agenda on day 1 needs to be a pause on advanced AI development, regulation of this out of control industry, and a ban on artificial superintelligence.

Just when you thought Europe couldn't Europe any harder France is now taxing your data usage. EVERY DAY A NEW MAN MADE HORROR BEYOND COMPREHENSION.

every single word said by Steve Jobs 16 years ago is still true touchscreen on the MacBook Pro PROLED makes no sense think about it: > hinge doesn’t open 360° or even 180° > the screen wobbles like crazy > no apple pencil support the OLED display is AMAZING though
Steve Jobs in 2010: “Touch surfaces don’t wanna be vertical... it’s ergonomically terrible” Apple in 2026: “...you’ll wanna reach out and touch it”

New MacBook Pro looks cool and all, but tbh I think Steve Jobs was right about not bringing touch to the Mac. Just doesn't seem practical.

25 years ago today, we introduced the iPod. 1,000 songs in your pocket. A small team. An unforgiving deadline. We had months to bring the hardware, software, and music experience together. Proud of what we built and that it means so much to people still today. A device that has been woven in many ways into our lives. People have filled their iPods with road trips, breakups, workouts, special occasions with family and friends. How cool that the iPod has become part of culture and our stories. 25 years, it’s hard to believe! Celebrating the team that made it happen today 👏 @StevenLevy was there from the start @WIRED wired.com/story/im-still-con…

The new capability that we built to help defend php2shell is live. The @Cloudflare WAF now has full transaction detection that evaluates the request and the origin response together, and response rules block a match before it reaches the requester. Example from the post: unauthenticated hit on /admin that comes back 200 text/html. Block it. Auth failures and redirects can then pass through untouched. blog.cloudflare.com/full-tra…
The Cloudflare's writeup on our php2shell response is up. Rules went live at 03:02 UTC, about 9 hours before disclosure. Unfortunately the vulnerability leaked early, so we were already watching attackers mutate payloads against the rules and updating as variants appeared. New rules keep landing in the WAF changelog. Expect updates through out the day. We will have a more thorough post of what we had to build to better protect people coming shortly. PHP runs almost 70% of websites. The flaw is in the runtime, so updating plugins won't fix it. Patch PHP. blog.cloudflare.com/php-vuln…

Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
