Birmingham, right? Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market. And who opens it? Him. A Pakistani who doesn't speak English. It is inconceivable that someone who doesn't speak fluent English is the Mayor. It's embarrassing, more than anything.

We know it's hard to believe, but this is Britain. The one on the left, with the rapper chain, is the Pakistani Mayor of Birmingham. Let's keep it between us, but this is a total invasion. Birmingham is the second city in England by population and importance.

I understand disagreements over casting, actors, actresses and creative choices. Those conversations are natural. But what I cannot understand is the eagerness to ridicule an entire project before watching it, sometimes crossing the line into mocking our own scriptures.
People questioned Jatayu’s presence, his association with Dasharath ji and kept asking, “Yeh kab hua tha?” Many making these jokes hadn’t even bothered to understand Valmiki Ramayana. A written epic and a visual adaptation are two different storytelling mediums. Context sometimes has to be established visually.
Our Itihas deserves more than the half-hearted adaptations we have seen in the past, with compromised budgets, limited ambition and visuals that fail to communicate the grandeur of our glorious past. We need filmmakers willing to dream big, invest big and take these stories to the world. With an Oscar-winning VFX powerhouse like DNEG involved, this is a significant cinematic moment.
I understand that not every filmmaker will be familiar to us, and not every creative decision will immediately appeal to everyone. Sometimes, we have to allow people the space to surprise us.
From what I have seen and heard so far, the attempt has been to present the story with dignity and respect for our sentiments. And that matters.
A film like this doesn’t come along every day. It is a rare opportunity to see our civilisation’s greatest story envisioned on a global cinematic canvas.
Watch it in cinemas. Take your children along. This is an experience meant for the big screen, not just snippets watched on a phone. Let them see, understand and become curious about the stories that shaped our civilisation.
And while you are at it, pick up Valmiki Ramayana. Read it yourself, encourage your children to read it too. A cinematic experience can spark curiosity, but understanding our scriptures is a journey we must undertake ourselves.
We can have our criticisms, but let us not become so cynical that we forget to celebrate when someone actually attempts something this ambitious with our own stories.
I would rather see a hundred attempts to take our Itihas to the world than see it remain confined to conversations within our own homes.
Some stories deserve to be told. Some deserve to be retold. And some deserve to be seen on the biggest screen possible.
#Ramayana is one of them.

350 mg/dL cholesterol was normal in 1960s now 180 is risky
Big pharma is coming up with these numbers for cholesterol, BP , diabetes
statins do not save lives ... Dr
Jack Wolfson
Dr.Aseem Malhotra says the same
Cardiologist Dr. Jack Wolfson: "Cholesterol lowering statins do not save lives... they have actually killed millions of people."
Low cholesterol causes a 3X increase in hemorrhagic strokes. When LDL drops below 70 mg/dL, brain bleeds skyrocket—backed by peer-reviewed data.
Every 30 mg/dL decrease in serum cholesterol links to a 22% higher risk of death from ANY cause. (Minnesota Coronary Experiment buried this for years!)
Chemically lowering total cholesterol below 180 mg/dL dramatically boosts cancer and dementia rates. Below 150 mg/dL? Chronic illnesses like cancer and autoimmune diseases hit hard.
36% of statin users get diagnosed with new-onset type 2 diabetes.
Research confirms: The higher your LDL, the longer you live. LDL transports cholesterol and regulates your immune system—lowering it with drugs has deadly consequences.
Aim for at least 200 mg/dL total cholesterol (5.2 mmol/L outside US). In 1960, 350 mg/dL was normal.

modi govt, through solicitor general tushar mehta, told the supreme court it is considering a committee to revisit the ugc equity regulations, 2026.
basically there's no rollback of UGC.

"Recalibration" is an overstatement.
What really transpired in the Courtroom was nothing close to "Recalibration".
Rather it just showed how lethargic the BJP Govt is on issues related to General Category; UGC guidelines in this case.

It’s a shame that big RW handles on X are supporting the movie #Ramayana which clearly has distorted the life story of Prabhu Ram and belittled him while glorifying Ravana…
Did these RWs like the depiction of Ravan as the messiah of the poor & downtrodden and devatas as their oppressors?…
Did these RWs like Ravana being shown as upright person who abducted Sita only to avenge insult of his sister Surupnakha and not to satiate his lust?…
Did these RWs like Sita berating Lakshmana for being too harsh on Surupnakha by cutting her nose?…
Did these RWs like the fact that in every scene our history has been not only distorted but has been contrasted in many instances to the actual occurrences?…
But then we should not be surprised as we know well that we Hindus are ourselves responsible for our plight that we endured over the ages. As our history has proved over and over again, the gates were always opened from the inside…
These RWs have done exactly that…opened the gates for a fictitious Ramayana that glorifies Ravan and belittles our God! What a disgrace.
