Got my Octo Health results back and I'll admit they made me smile.
Octo Score 91 out of 100. A biological age of 30, at 40. Cortisol and B12 both in the optimal range. By my own count that puts me somewhere in the top 1% of health stats.
A couple of years ago I changed a lot of unhealthy habits. I stopped drinking around 2023, and I train four mornings a week at 6:30am. Nothing fancy, just showing up.
I must be doing something right. Mostly I'm grateful, and reminded that small habits add up.

No unnecessary friction. This is exactly the kind of experience technology and good operations should create in healthcare. If you’re in the United States and you’re proactive about understanding and improving your health, I strongly recommend giving Octo Health a look.Great product. I decided to try it. I enrolled through OctoHealth.com, provided my information, and booked my blood draw at Quest Diagnostics. The experience today was probably the most efficient healthcare experience I’ve had in my life. I booked the appointment three days ago. I arrived a little early, checked myself in digitally, and in less than 60 seconds someone was already calling my name.I walked into the room, they collected around seven vials of blood, and that was it.Professional. On time. Seamless.

Today, that startup is Octo Health . And I’m not writing this because the founders are my friends. I’m writing it because when we find services that are genuinely excellent, particularly in healthcare, they deserve recognition. Octo Health gives you access to testing for 100+ biomarkers in the United States for a fixed price, helping you get a much broader picture of your health.
Every chronic condition has the same problem underneath it.
Not a missing drug. Not a missing diagnosis.
A missing record.

"Normal" is defined by the average of everyone who showed up to a lab.
Half of them were not well.
That number is not your goal. It's the floor.

VO2 max predicts lifespan better than almost any other single marker.
It's also the one most doctors never measure.
Your wearable estimates it. That's not the same as tracking it.

Your doctor has probably never measured your ApoB.
It's a better predictor of cardiovascular risk than LDL.
It's also one of the most commonly skipped tests in standard care.

Standard care asks: did the number cross a line?
Functional medicine asks: which direction is it moving, and what's upstream?
Those are not the same question. One of them has an answer.

40 million Americans have diabetes. 1 in 4 don't know.
The data was there for years. The test was never ordered.
Risk doesn't announce itself. You have to go looking.

Every chronic condition has the same problem underneath it.
Not a missing drug. Not a missing diagnosis.
A missing record, restarted at every new provider.
The fix is continuity, not another test.

Poor sleep doesn't just make you tired.
It suppresses testosterone, spikes fasting insulin, and breaks your cortisol rhythm.
Sleep is where your markers move. That's not the same as where you rest.

after: "here. I have everything since 2023."
this is what organized looks like -> [hioctohealth.com/]
the most common thing our first users said: "I finally had an answer when the doctor asked if this had happened before."
not because we built a great product. because continuity changes the conversation.
