⚖️➡️ Trial began today for four men accused of sexual offences against Joanne Young, who was drugged and abused by now ex-husband Philip Young for over 13 years. Former councillor Phillip Young has already pleaded guilty to 56 horrific offences against his former wife, including drugging her, rape and voyeurism. Another man Dean Hamilton has also pleaded guilty. The four remaining defendants deny all offences. The trial is expected to last six weeks at Winchester Crown Court. Joanne Young waived her right to anonymity and watched from the public gallery as her former husband admitted all horrific offences against her back in January. Insurmountable strength in the face of such betrayal and depravity. My thoughts are with her over the next several weeks as the trial continues.
