Thrilled to hear that Andy Green has been given a three year extension to stay on as manager. A.J. Ewing told me recently that Andy is the best motivational leader for whom he has ever played. I think he’s done a splendid job challenging and pushing the youngsters and getting his pitchers out at the right time. Zac Thornton said that getting that double play ball from Anthony Volpe to get through the 7th inning for the first time thanks to Andy leaving him in the game at that point helped him grow up a bit making him feel that he belonged. @Mets made a great decision.
An incredible baseball mind, leader, and human being. I can’t think of many — inside or outside baseball — who I have a greater degree of genuine respect or admiration for than Andy. Working alongside him in 2024 not only made me better at what I do, but made me a better person!
Winner. Leader. Bulldog. The ultimate teammate, competitor, and mound presence. And the rock of our dominant 2022 @UConnBSB Super Regional staff
Petey being a big-leaguer was always a matter of “when,” not “if.” And now that moment is finally here. Let’s go @CleGuardians! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
First big-league homer under the bright lights of LA, against an elite arm in Yamamoto, and to make it a one-run game in the 7th… just another day at the office for Bernie 💣
As we were fortunate to see in Springfield last year, these young Cardinals all have the clutch gene!

Another #HookC MLB Call Up!
Would set a record with six former Huskies appearing in an MLB game in the same season! #UConnBred
The greatest debut in the history of baseball! SO proud of Josh! He has earned every opportunity and worked so damn hard to get here. Just a kid from Boston doing his thing!
“How can you not be romantic about baseball?!”
Joshua Báez
Joshua Báez!
JOSHUA BÁEZ!!!
The @Cardinals rookie has homered THREE TIMES in his MLB debut 🤯

Baseball so often is a mirror for culture in the US, providing examples of enduring American character.
Tom Rinaldi has more on celebrating America 250 through the lens of America’s pastime.
A year ago, going into the All-Star break, JWalk was wrapping up a two week stint back in AA, traveling across the Texas League in the heat of July, working to retool his swing and find his potential with @Sgf_Cardinals
A humble superstar shining on the game’s biggest stage ❤️⚾️
Obviously being promoted in this situation is never easy, but people will quickly be impressed by Andy. Was very fortunate to work alongside him during my time with the Mets in 2024. Well-spoken, sharp baseball mind who did a fantastic job in player development the last few years
The most interesting man in baseball! Lucky to call @CoachPaulBenoit a friend. He is great for the game, and a top-tier person at that!
When the MiLB season ends, Cards' Paul Benoit doesn't head home. He packs a bag and gets on a plane to bring baseball around the world.
"I have such a passion for baseball, I want everybody else to have that same love and passion for the game.”

The night we won the 2021 Big East Tournament at UConn, I told Kyler we needed a picture together so I could post it when he made his big league debut…
After watching him dominate in the MiLB, I am so happy to deliver that promise

Was not ready for Eric Church to deliver the best commencement speech I’ve ever heard.
Six guitar strings. Six pillars of a life.
Faith. Family. Spouse. Ambition. Community. You.
Tune them when you’re whole, not just when you’re broken.
Watch the whole thing.
This is what happens when you find a process that works, consistently stick to it, and keep working hard day in and day out. Josh’s talent is clearly off the charts, but so is his preparation and will to win. Now he’s seizing his opportunity, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
Can’t say enough about Casey! The family-like connection he forms with players, his unbelievable knowledge of hitting, and the gold-standard human that he is all make him one of the best. Can’t wait to see STL rake like SGF did this past year! Congratulations @ChenowethCasey!! 💪🏻
The #STLCards have finalized their coaching staff and as reported last month have retained the majority. Casey Chenoweth (asst hitting, prev: AA Springfield) and Kyle Driscoll (asst pitching, prev: ARI MiLB coordinator) join the staff.
