When Harry Kane left Spurs for Bayern in 2023, his first season ended trophyless as Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen stole the Bundesliga. Critics branded him unlucky and no winner.
That narrative is finished. He broke the “curse” with the 2024-25 title, then led Bayern to a domestic treble in 2025-26 while scoring a record 73 goals for club and country. On home soil in London, the 33-year-old claimed the 2026 Ballon d’Or , the first English winner since Michael Owen.
The man once mocked as cursed is now officially the world’s best player.

🚨🇧🇷 | 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: PSG have ENTERED the race to sign Chelsea and Brazilian talented youngster Estêvão Willian in the upcoming January transfer window.
Luis Enrique is reportedly KEEN on bringing the winger to France, with the 19-year-old also emerging as a key target for clubs like Barcelona and Liverpool👀.
Chelsea will be demanding for a fee around €113M💰 for the sale of the player. Estêvão who has struggled for game time under Xabi Alonso this season might be keen on a move.

Several Chinese brands, including Dongpeng and Mengniu, have also ended their partnerships with the Real Madrid star following backlash over his comments about a meme depicting him as a Chinese dictator.

🚨🗣️ Zinedine Zidane Proposes Separate Awards for Club and International Football
“The Ballon d’Or organisers need to be more consistent with their decisions.
They used La Liga performances to award Lamine Yamal the Kopa Trophy over Pau Cubarsí, relied on World Cup performances to award Unai Simón the Yashin Trophy over David Raya, ignoring a whole season of club football and used Bundesliga performances to award Harry Kane the Gerd Müller Trophy over Kylian Mbappé, despite Mbappé's incredible scoring record.
They also prioritised Champions League success when selecting Club of the Year, yet placed greater emphasis on international tournament success when choosing Coach of the Year over managers who delivered outstanding results at club level.
So, which criteria actually matter: domestic league performances, Champions League success or international tournaments?
If the organisers cannot apply consistent standards across every category, they should separate club football awards from international football awards.
Players and managers deserve recognition based on clear, fair criteria, not standards that appear to change from one award to another. The Ballon d’Or needs reform.

Manchester United fans really made us believe Amorim was a bad manager, yet look at how much better Carrick has made him look. 😭😂
The funniest part? Amorim had more total wins than Carrick in the stats being shared, yet United fans act like he was the club’s biggest problem. Make it make sense! 💀

But put rivalry aside oo how did Unai Simon won the Yashin Trophy ahead of David Raya. Raya had an incredible season with Arsenal last season he’s one of the main reason they won the league with those incredible saves. B2b premier league glove, World Cup winner, EPL winner, conceded just 26 goals and Unai Simon the other hand with Just a 7 game tournament qualified him for that lol conceded 54 goals no club trophy just a World Cup trophy.. Na hthis a joke lol

🚨🎙️ | Gary Neville on Alex Scott agreeing personal terms with Chelsea:
🗣️ “I think Alex Scott would be a very smart signing for Chelsea. If he has agreed personal terms, then this is a big step towards getting the deal done.
He’s a very talented midfielder, comfortable on the ball, intelligent in possession and capable of making a real difference in the middle of the park.
Chelsea are building something under Xabi Alonso, and Scott could be another important piece of that project.
For me, Chelsea are getting closer to challenging for the Premier League title. They just need to keep making the right decisions in the transfer market.
If they can get this deal over the line, I think Chelsea fans will have every reason to be excited.
This was the clear total robbery and I no longer value these awards because how can 8 games be more valued than a competitive league!?!
De La Fluente Over Mikel Arteta, it’s a big NO!.
Yes, I know that World Cup is a big tournament but with games played, right!?. To be honest how can a coach who played only 8 games win the best coach of the year over someone who battled for almost 5 seasons and win the league in the last season, do you think they don’t consider that achievement, dedication, resilience, passion and performance!?. Really!!!!!.
Look, if Del la Fluente won over Mikel Arteta and Unai Simone over David Raya, then I’m no longer giving much respect to Ballon d’Or, it’s just a staged awarding ceremony, and it has lost its credibility.
Basically, for my humble opinion Mikel Arteta deserves even more better than this Award, because his resilience is on another level, can you imagine over 5 seasons without winning the league but he kept pushing forward until he won it!. Mehn… Mikel Arteta is best coach of the year by merit!.
