Internet Operating System, Local AI, ownership and monetisation of digital content - all that sound a lot? Just wait till the IoT revenue machine starts.

Elastos is fully back and aligned on it's 2017 internet OS mission. This is sovereign, local-first computing in a new internet layer, and the home for the World Computer!
I really hope everyone can not just see that we officially now have an ElastOS computer, but where this is also headed, check out the new website too: elastos.net/
Thankyou to all those involved, let's keep building. ethereum:0xe6fd75ff38adca4b97fbcd938c86b98772431867

Hey Michel! Thanks :) Here's what we're building, starting with the why.
The internet never got an operating system. Your laptop has one, and it gives you a home for your files and apps that you control. The internet only connects computers, so the big platforms filled that gap and became the internet's operating system by default.
That's why your photos, playlists, contacts, chats and now your AI sit on their computers, under their rules. They can change the price, change the rules, lock your account or shut down, and your stuff goes with them. We rent our digital lives.
ElastOS is an open attempt at that missing layer. It's software on your own computer, not a hosted service. You install ElastOS, sign in with a passkey, and Home opens, a desktop in your browser where your apps, files and AI model run on your own machine (Mac or Linux). The difference is it's yours, not theirs.
Behind Home, the Runtime works like a key desk: before an app acts, it checks the app's key. You add people by their DID, a signed ID you own, not a company login, and share files with them. No platform landlord in the middle.
That's the first layer, and your Home already reaches other Homes over Carrier, Elastos's own network, by identity rather than server. The bigger aim is the full stack Elastos has worked toward for years: identity and rights anchored on a public blockchain instead of a company's database, and the same rules covering your data, your money and the rights to what you make. One sovereign computing environment that you own, end to end.
At the base of Elastos is its own blockchain, backed by Bitcoin merged mining: Bitcoin miners can mine it with the same work they already do, the idea Satoshi described for BitDNS in 2010. Its coin is ELA, and it's governed by an elected community council, the Elastos DAO (formerly Cyber Republic), not a company.
The design comes from Rong Chen (@chen2rong2): "the highest design principle of an operating system should be 'non-interference' (Wu Wei)." The system stays out of your business instead of being the business.
The aim is one narrow key per app that you can take back, nothing with power by default, and apps named by their content, not by the server they sit on.
v2.0.0, the first stable release, just shipped, MIT open source: github.com/elastos/elastos-r…
$ELA is starting to gain awareness. During the upcoming months, it's Internet Operating System will likely become one of the hottest topics in the space.

I think $ELA is a no brainer at 10M mcap. There will be "a season" for OS security in crypto this cycle. I don't know when that is gonna happen, but it will involve security breaches, and I'm sure we'll see more of them in the future.
Once it gets going, it keeps going.

If someone like Mr. Michel Bauwens starts taking an interest in ElastOS 👇, someone whom Satoshi Nakamoto himself approached for his insights and advice on Bitcoin back in 2009, then surely it's time for even those who have overlooked @ElastosInfo until now to sit up and pay attention.
Incidentally, Satoshi himself foresaw that Bitcoin's significance would one day go far beyond simply being a store of value. And perhaps that's precisely why crypto OGs are starting to take an interest in elastos:native .
Not only is elastos:native merge-mined alongside $BTC, but Bitcoin's hashrate is also one of the security pillars on which the new internet will soon stand.
That's right. In case you missed it, Bitcoin's computing power helps secure the internet running on ElastOS.
Those who understand what's happening here surely realise that one day, movies will be made about these very moments. 🎬🚀

Now see from the video ElastOS runtime code (10k lines of code) being directly embedded on the chip itself.
We are witnessing the creative destruction of the internet due to its architecture, what rises from it is a new network operating system to protect all at the most fundamental level.

At today’s price, $ELA is personally the only candidate I see for a 1000x this bull run. Don’t buy it, study it first. And by the way, what @ElastosInfo has built was one of the primary reasons why Satoshi gave $BTC to the world. If you’re reading these words, try to take them as a sign. At least just this once.

Through bull & bear, this man and his core team have been building the decentralised web
When the narrative shifts to digital ownership and earning money for participating in the Web3 economy, a lot of people are gonna be sore they didn't pay more attention
$ELA World Computer
I came for the bulletproof decentralised operating system, I stayed for the economic models it enables.
What have your devs been upto during the bear? That's all that matters - did we invest in the right people and vision? Will the ecosystem generate revenue?

The internet was never built with a lock on the door.
Every app sees more than it should. Every service holds more than it needs. And users have no real say in any of it.
@ElastosInfo is 26yrs into building the fix. A sovereign operating system for the internet where every app
The end goal is that instead of accessing your digital life through somebody else’s cloud, your device becomes your own sovereign node in the internet - your identity, computer, AI, property rights and economy all under your control.
Own. Earn. Control.
Follow builders $ELA
The powerful thing about combining a sovereign agentic workspace with a sovereign operating system is that you finally own your identity, computer, rights, and finances, all in one place.
This is the World Computer Ethereum originally envisioned. Decentralized applications that run locally, uniting on chain (identity, finance, rights) and off chain (compute, storage, networking) innovation into a digital home (OS) that anyone can download, run, inspect, fork, and improve.
ElastOS will be fully open source in the coming months. Anyone will be able to contribute, fork, or build on it. As long as implementations follow the core standards and protocols, the entire ecosystem remains interoperable across all ecosystems.
Think of it as the first digital home you truly own. Instead of renting space in someone else's cloud, you own the property itself. Your AI runs locally. Your data stays with you. You build and deploy applications from your own machine. You connect directly to other people's digital homes over a decentralized network. When you purchase digital goods, they are delivered directly to your home through Elacity dDRM protocol and everyone is paid immediately.
The local first economy compounds over time. Technology consistently gives us more capability with less dependence on centralized intermediaries. The internet is not simply becoming more decentralized. It is evolving into an agentic operating system that runs on our own devices instead of someone else's infrastructure.
Now let me check the grammar of this on OpenAI. 😅 Not there yet.
Such a shame, but everything here is true
Fortunately The WCI and Elacity are still developing at an incredible rate thanks to Sash, Ahmed and their teams

ElastOS v1.2 is getting close ⚡
A lot has been happening this week as the team keeps pushing toward release later this month. Work has continued across the runtime, dDRM V3, dApps running directly inside PC2, block explorer progress, and bringing council node costs down.
That includes more testing around room-based permissions, more work on separate ElastOS computers interacting with each other in real time, continued progress on getting dApps running properly inside the personal cloud computer, and ongoing infrastructure work to make node operation cheaper while keeping the same stability.
And that is only part of this weeks progress..
