This is going to be an embarrassingly, ridiculously long thread that might interest no one, but the reunion scene between Louis and Lestat in episode 8 of Interview with the Vampire is one of the most devastating and beautiful and visceral scenes I've ever seen, and definitely🧵
Lestat trending the day after a blue tsunami. In my head this is connected. The dots are connected. I've connected them.
(packing for a trip at 1am, delirious)
I don't like any focus on numbers but of course good numbers make ppl feel more secure about the future of shows we love, so it is pretty neat that TVL is still in the top 10 on AMC+. There was that article about it passing 100 days and that being a big deal -- now it's 141 (I
think it was out for a few days around Halloween with a bunch of Halloween movies getting a lot of play, but it's at #6 now). Again, we're not shareholders or AMC execs, just fans, but anything like that is good for the actors/writers and those of us who want more of the show. :)
We saw a glimpse of this when Louis remembered the "real" moment of Lestat showing him the suits he'd had made: rather than looking suave and confident like in ep 1.2, Lestat bites his lip nervously then smiles goofily. Louis remembering THAT, in that moment, always struck me.

Oh god I'm reading positive things about tonight and it's giving me shakiness-inducing levels of hope. I need to chill.
This being a nomination for SAM specifically, for his performance of The Loneliness, is really cool. This is an industry award, and industry people recognizing that his performance, both singing and acting, is as incredible as it is...just nice to see merit recognized, really.
CORRECTION:
Sam Reid was nominated for Best Onscreen Performance of “The Loneliness” from #TheVampireLestat.

Rewatching some stuff as distraction today (voted!) and it's really true that IWTV/TVL is on another level from most shows, in acting and writing. It's the most opposite of second-screen television you could possibly get.
Well that's very cool. The Loneliness, both in the composition and in Sam Reid's performance, really is incredible.
#TheVampireLestat has received two nominations at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards:
SONG — ONSCREEN PERFORMANCE — TV SHOW/LIMITED SERIES
Daniel Hart — “The Loneliness” From The Vampire Lestat.
MAIN TITLE — TV SHOW/LIMITED SERIES
“All Fall Down” — Written By Daniel Hart. Performed By Sam Reid.
The winners will be revealed on Nov. 18, at the Avalon Hollywood.

Trying to distract myself from all the anxiety about the midterms tomorrow(!), so hey, nice to see The Vampire Lestat listed as one of the 10 best streaming shows of the year here (along with Widow's Bay, Industry, Margo's Got Money Troubles, etc.
Everything about this is delightful. Ron Perlman's "I would hit that ALL DAY," Jon Lovett saying "We all would", Beth Stelling objecting because she thinks Sam Reid can't possibly be real.
Actor Ron Perlman and comedian Beth Stelling answer if they would fuck Sam Reid as #TheVampireLestat in a segment called ‘Would You Fuck This Monster?’ in the Lovett or Leave It podcast hosted by Jon Lovett.

Stuff like People choosing a TVL moment for this list and Sam's Lestat being included in that hilarious Ron Perlman thing really feel like part of the show getting wider attention with season 3. And that's just cool to see for the show and the actors. Can't hurt for season 4!
Lestat’s blood shower scene in #TheVampireLestat is #8 in PEOPLE’s Sexiest TV Moments of 2026! 🚿🩸

I went to an @NTLive screening (at UCLA) of No Man's Land, starring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. I sat in the back row, on the aisle, and at some point I become aware that a man is standing nearby, in the doorway to the theater. I looked up: it was Patrick Stewart. It was a
on the stage and asked the audience questions about how they felt about filmed theatre vs. a production being adapted into a movie, as he'd been used to. He was just very lovely and curious and enthusiastic, and it was a great andhilarious experience. Now I want to watch
