This is going to be an embarrassingly, ridiculously long thread that might interest no one, but the reunion scene between Louis and Lestat in episode 8 of Interview with the Vampire is one of the most devastating and beautiful and visceral scenes I've ever seen, and definitely🧵

That scene in the bench in episode 6…. Or the aftermath of the fight…genuine romance like you rarely see. And their last silent exchange in episode 7…
Lestat trending the day after a blue tsunami. In my head this is connected. The dots are connected. I've connected them.

It's very brief in episode 2.8--we know that Louis is having more "real" memories break through, and while he's talking about "I'm kissing Lestat on the altar" at the beginning, we see a flash of Lestat showing him the suits among other memory flashes.
think it was out for a few days around Halloween with a bunch of Halloween movies getting a lot of play, but it's at #6 now). Again, we're not shareholders or AMC execs, just fans, but anything like that is good for the actors/writers and those of us who want more of the show. :)
I don't like any focus on numbers but of course good numbers make ppl feel more secure about the future of shows we love, so it is pretty neat that TVL is still in the top 10 on AMC+. There was that article about it passing 100 days and that being a big deal -- now it's 141 (I

I love hearing people who know singing talk about what makes his voice great, so I'd love to hear you talk more about this! I've always loved beautiful baritones, so you can imagine.

glimpses we get of Lestat as a human or a very young vampire, we see how much that one moment shows Lestat's true vulnerability and uncertainty and sweetness and silliness. It's the first full glimpse we really get of that in the whole show, in retrospect. The show, through all

that was such a clever choice because it's not like the original memory was a bad one, it was a very sweet one in Louis' original telling -- but he still saw Lestat as so commanding and confident and suave and all that. And then, especially in light of Keeperstat and the other

YES, I hadn't connected that so much with keeperstat, but it always stood out to me that the first thing Louis remembers after thinking of Lestat's apology was this tiny moment where all his love and vulnerability and goofiness shown through in the real memory. I always thought
We saw a glimpse of this when Louis remembered the "real" moment of Lestat showing him the suits he'd had made: rather than looking suave and confident like in ep 1.2, Lestat bites his lip nervously then smiles goofily. Louis remembering THAT, in that moment, always struck me.

Oh god I'm reading positive things about tonight and it's giving me shakiness-inducing levels of hope. I need to chill.
This being a nomination for SAM specifically, for his performance of The Loneliness, is really cool. This is an industry award, and industry people recognizing that his performance, both singing and acting, is as incredible as it is...just nice to see merit recognized, really.
CORRECTION:
Sam Reid was nominated for Best Onscreen Performance of “The Loneliness” from #TheVampireLestat.

Rewatching some stuff as distraction today (voted!) and it's really true that IWTV/TVL is on another level from most shows, in acting and writing. It's the most opposite of second-screen television you could possibly get.
