When I was a teenager, I belonged to a prayer group called Liberation Victory. We used to travel to villages for family deliverance.
Our leader, Brother Kelechi, was a grown man, while most of us were young people.
There was a married woman in the group whom we regarded as our spiritual mother. She had no children at the time, and we constantly prayed for her to conceive, even if it was just one child.
She would get pregnant, but unfortunately, she kept experiencing miscarriages.
We prayed, fasted and cried. I mean, intense prayers. We even involved virgins in the prayers because we desperately wanted her to have a child.
Little did we know that years later, we would discover things that would change how we remembered those days.

This photo was taken around 1955... This gentleman was a very patient man ...he could see far...Then Opposition Leader Mr. Oginga Odinga described him in his book as a twiga ( giraffe )🦒. Moi knew his path to the presidency was so painful. Still, he decided to buy time and accept all the humiliation. At one time, he was slapped in State House, Nakuru, by the ever-arrogant 1st president of Kenya, but he swallowed it. He decided to divorce his wife so as to clear his path well to Power. He was no longer a passing cloud but a still force.
Would you wait that patiently, as Moi did and even sacrifice a partner to concentrate on your future gambling?
