Do members of the Governing Party have a copy of this - especially the Labour Friends of Israel being funded by Israel?
On this day 109 years ago today British foreign secretary Arthur Balfour sent a letter to Lord Rothschild, a leading member of the UK's Jewish community, expressing the British government's support for the establishment of a Jewish national homeland in Israel.
It laid the foundation for the eventual end of the British Mandate of Palestine and the establishment of the State of Israel.
This article from the declaration's centenary explains how the Labour party already supported its aims months before it was written:

You sound rightly angered by contemporary curriculum developments.
A historical and informed look at #physicaleducation developments will reveal the superficiality of proposals. We’re not far from ‘club swinging’ and the last Govt funded it via £43m to Oak!
Many in the UK might feel smug on reading this, but it’s happening here, (PPE VIP Lane), not quite so brazen.
I don’t see @andyburnham reacting to the alleged frauds?
JON OSSOFF JUST LAID OUT THE WHOLE SCAM IN GEORGIA — AND IT'S BIGGER THAN ONE DEAL.
At his closing rally in Morrow, Georgia, Senator Jon Ossoff walked through it deal by deal. Georgia is listening: he leads Mike Collins 55-40 in the latest poll, and 2.2 million Georgians have already voted.
While Donald cuts a diesel deal with Vladimir Putin — 300,000 tons now, 500,000 in November, a million more after that, while diesel sits at $6.33 a gallon for American farmers and truckers — his own son-in-law Jared Kushner and his envoy Steve Witkoff are brokering the sale of Lukoil's $20-22 billion in international oil fields, refineries and gas stations to the first family's friends.
The buyers, as Jon Ossoff named them: Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's spy chief, who paid $500 million for half of the Trump-Witkoff crypto company days before the inauguration. Moutaz and Ramez Al-Khayyat, the Syrian-born brothers financing Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's multi-billion-dollar Albanian resort. And billionaire Todd Boehly leading the consortium. The United States government itself would take a 15% stake — through the same government that is supposed to approve the deal.
Then Marco Rubio: his State Department helped steer up to $1.6 billion in taxpayer backing to the Trump sons' tungsten mine in Kazakhstan — the company's own chief executive says it got 'direct assistance' from Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and Howard Lutnick.
Then Pete Hegseth's Pentagon: a $620 million loan to Vulcan Elements, the magnet company Donald Trump Jr.'s fund invested in three months earlier — the biggest loan that Pentagon office ever gave. And Venezuelan oil money routed through Qatari bank accounts — $500 million in the first sale alone, more than $13 billion taken in by late July.
And Elon Musk? Apartheid Clyde is one of these elites. He spent $475 million buying this election, his companies took $10 billion more in federal contracts since he left DOGE, and his Tesla paid ZERO in federal income taxes on $5.7 billion in U.S. profits. That's why he tells poor people America will end if his side loses. It has nothing to do with them. They are just the infantry for an oligarchy waiting to happen.
This is not a presidency. This is the biggest Ponzi scam in American history — and it is a national security danger, because the men running the State Department, the Pentagon and the negotiating table are cutting resource deals for the family while you pay $6.33 for diesel.
So hear Jon Ossoff's closing line, and hear it like it's real: Raise your right hand. Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God, in front of the United States Congress? Because next year, that's where this ends. 1 day. EVERYBODY KNOWS IT.

This is getting mad. The police should not be policing words.
ARRESTED WITH SARAH HELM'S WORDS
A woman has just been arrested outside the US Embassy in London for holding a sign with words mirroring the ones that the National Security Advisor's wife tweeted, and for which @metpoliceuk declared "did not meet the criminal threshold".
#Israelelection on @bbcnews - 2 Israeli citizens returning from Denmark to vote, ‘last chance 4 country…apalling deaths/torture in prisons…country changed 4 worse…wouldn’t return…unable to converse with radicalised youth’ etc.
Confirmation from more than one source and distressing? Desperate people do desperate things.
💥An Israeli security official to @CNN: "Netanyahu very much wanted to carry out a joint strike against Iran before the elections, and tried to persuade Trump, but didn't get the okay. One reason for that is that IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir told US counterpart Dan Kane that a strike would harm electoral process in Israel and lead to postponement of vote."

Is this a contentious claim by a Govt Dept
a) given the lack of accurate evidence;
b) it appears just 4 days before Israel’s elections (the countries name appears on 60 occasions in the report).
The rise in antisemitism presents a challenge for all of us.
Schools and colleges should be places where young people can discuss difficult issues, challenge prejudice and learn to debate respectfully.
These conversations can be complex, but we want to encourage debate. That's why we're backing teachers and school leaders with training, guidance and practical resources, giving them the confidence to lead these discussions well.
Schools will not face this challenge alone.
In this generational moment we have a real opportunity to challenge antisemitism, build understanding and create more inclusive school communities.
Look back to issues surrounding the appointment?
The Conservatives' @LauraTrottMP has accused Lucy Powell of a ‘failure of leadership’ by showing a ‘lack of public support’ for Ofsted chief Sir Martyn Oliver in a TV interview

You’ve pulled together many divorced threads which failed to explain the contradictions in media coverage of what is actually happening in schools. An array of public statements have persistently ‘cherry-picked' information to support a cause, ignoring a balanced analysis. Thanks
New: Does Acland-Hood’s departure offer a sense that the government is indeed “changing the story” on education?

IF we’re going to examine racism & prejudice in schools we examine all colours, creeds & faiths, not one of them!
You clearly have not done your homework!
In certain circles, anybody who raises the subject of antisemitism is assumed to be doing Israel’s bidding. Which is why I begin by pointing out that Sir David Bell, the author of a government-commissioned review of antisemitism in England’s schools and colleges, is about as far from a Zionist stooge as it is possible to get.
A former chief inspector of schools and permanent secretary at the Department for Education, he is the epitome of the sober, establishment centrist. His report, in other words, is about as kosher as they come.
What he found was shameful. Three in five Jewish pupils say they have experienced or witnessed antisemitism at school, and about half of them never reported it. Yet the most revealing part of the story is less what the review uncovered than the reaction to it from the people who are entrusted to run our classrooms...
