Trump's guaranteed veto gives the Democrats cover to vote for a progressive agenda knowing it will never be implemented. If they can't pass that agenda even with the guaranteed veto, their allegiance to oligarchy will be proven beyond doubt.
When we win, we need America's next New Deal. Medicare for All. $25 living wage. End the Iran War. Zero aid Israel. Tax the billionaires. Make Trump Hoover if he vetoes it.

Keisha Lance Bottoms started the militarized cop city project after we were protesting against Black bodies being brutalized by police departments so I’m extremely unmoved by the representational politics of her win

Meanwhile, Black Americans are actively being displaced from their homes to accommodate illegal immigrants. But let’s celebrate but your governors name is Keisha. You democrat shills are insufferable 🥴

difference between Mona & Cardi is Mona is BLACK & Cardi B is NOT. A lightskinned black woman is more likely to sympathize w/ colorism than a nonblack Latina who NEVER identified as black, never TREATED as black. Yall make Cardi black so you feel better bout yourself but she not
MONA ADDRESSES CARDI B CONTROVERSY, SAYS COLORISM PLAYS A ROLE IN SUCCESS Cardi B argued that some people don't get opportunities because they aren't smart enough to market themselves and sell themselves in important rooms. Mona: “I just thought she was so wrong about it.” “Cardi is very talented, Cardi better than a lot of people.” “But If there was a girl that did exactly what I did, and she was big and Black, I can't say that she would make it where I make it.” “I know part of the reason why I made it here is because I have the complexion for the connection. That's my belief.”

My THOUGHTS on this @2chainz and Keith Lee interaction!
2 Chainz got into a DEBATE with Keith Lee after bringing up the BAD REVIEW Keith gave his restaurant, with Keith arguing that his reviews should reflect how REGULAR CUSTOMERS are treated, while 2 Chainz insisted celebrities EARN special treatment 😳👀 2 Chainz also questioned whether Keith’s strict diet as a former athlete affects his TASTE in food and how he judges restaurants. “I’m an entertainer, and obviously we get perks that other people don’t get. That’s just period, my boy. I don’t stand in line at the airport. I don’t do none of that because I done worked my ass off to do this.”

no shade i don’t want to hear this from the guy that built his career as a minstrel promoting and making money off the same stereotypes that got our generations bullied in school
Michael Blackson penned a message and reflected on his own bullying experience while speaking on the death of fellow Ghanaian Javits Frimpong. The comedian also expressed plans to make appearances at high schools to talk to foreign kids and help them deal with bullying. “May God help us all to help deal with this. Amen.” Our thoughts are with Javits’ family 🙏🏽 ✍🏾#TSRStaffAS 📷:(@gettyimages)

Black American woman who was a former pan Africanist, former staunch liberal and immigration advocate had a realization that the immigrant class not only doesn't respect or appreciate anything we've fought for but are harming us.

Some of y’all have lost the plot lol. The whole point of delineation is distinguishing ourselves to get towards a shared goal. Beefing with Africans and Caribbeans for the sake of beef is not it. So long as they aren’t being disrespectful leave them alone wth lol…

I have never once in all my days witnessed any Black American actor/actress, singer and popular person used their platforms to demean any Caribbean or African. Yet for some reason when Caribbeans and Africans use their platforms they demean us in the worst way

You know it’s bad when White Americans hop in the chat to confirm what we’ve always known—what our parents always told us about the African, the Caribbean and the “me-no-blauk.” Antiblack racism perpetrated against us by black immigrants and other POC is a form of performative ass-kissing for the ruling class. The immigrant comes, gets a leg up by hating who the white man hates. This has ALWAYS included nonAmerican “black skins.” We are accustomed to it. It’s that they lie about it while trying to force their way into Black American society—DEMANDING the pairing of ‘African’ with ‘American’ as a label on us so that THEY can further benefit from a legacy they’ve contributed nothing to. This is the epitome of self-hate. And all while fleeing like orphans from lands they couldn’t care less to cultivate, leaving behind (and still selling) their own kin…to come and live in our house and talk down on us to historical enemies. I don’t care how much they’ve frustrated me, I’ve NEVER fixed my mouth to speak about what prolific failures they are in mixed company. Never. Half a millennia since “slave days” and not a thing to show for the sell of our ancestors on that wretched continent…That’s why they are here, deflecting: don’t look at how inept we are; just look at us—not being Black Americans. We have to accept that they, too, are enemies unless and until proven otherwise. And even then, “trust but verify.”

Southern, Midwestern, Northeastern, and Western Black Americans can have different accents, migration histories, politics, music, and local traditions while still sharing a broader historical and cultural formation. The mistake is letting foreigners turn “we have regional differences” into “we are fundamentally different peoples.” We are still Black Americans stay cool 💯don't fall for it.
