OPINION: St. John Paul II Catholic’s forfeit against Briarwood is a symptom of a bad private school playoff structure, one that has bulldozed all concerns from all sides and vindicated my belief that splitting the AHSAA was a mistake.

Right, also can’t help but notice that the people who cheered *threatening Greenland* and appeasing Putin would like us to take their lead in foreign policy.

Republicans supported the decision to go to war against Iran. I think we have to take into account the unhappiness with status of the war, but the support fell when officials started saying things like the terrorists in Tehran want a new peaceful path with the U.S. as they were literally shooting at our forces. Once the decision to take the fight to Iran was made, we needed to follow through and Trump should’ve put Sec Rubio and Adm Cooper in charge of explaining it to the electorate. Still should.

I dunno. Seems like not winning it—and listening to people who advocated losing it—was the far bigger mistake.

Indeed. Hard to learn all the right lessons. But this is a good start.
I don’t think Republicans have a good election until 2030 at the earliest. Gonna have to run actual candidates and take elections seriously in places they’ve been complacent. Also going to have to have actual messaging/platform to have a chance before 2032.

"The playoff rankings are off the rails. Thankfully, committee chair Hunter Yurachek is here to make sense of them! That's next!"
AHSAA created a terrible playoff structure that lead to a 10-0 team playing an 0-10 team with only 16 healthy players and are now punishing that 0-10 team for protecting its players from a potentially dangerous situation. They are in conflict with their own Mission Statement 🤷🏻♂️

This is just not a good situation for anyone.
I understand where St. John Paul II is coming from and I understand how this can be a difficult situation for Briarwood who will lose revenue as a result.
All the blame falls on the AHSAA for creating this disaster!

If it's iffy, YOU DON'T BLOW THE WHISTLE. You let the play continue! Terrible @SECOfficiating
Man, that’s 3 TDs taken away from Arkansas. 2 from penalties and a 3rd on a scoop and score that they initially ruled down.
I don’t think Mizzou’s headsets ever stopped working. I bet Drink did that while Arkansas was driving to try to throw off the offense. Then we get the big play and suddenly one of their staff has his headset back on? 🤔

This lawsuit is absolutely crazy.
The schools that have chosen to be in NCAA Division III subscribe to a philosophy built around "prioritizing the overall educational experience of student-athletes"...where "academics are the primary focus of the student-athlete experience." (NCAA members that want a more athletics-based model can move to Division I or Division II.)
In alignment with that, these member schools have agreed "Division III financial aid is based on need and academic merit rather than athletics ability, reinforcing the division’s commitment to the overall educational experience"...thus no athletics-based scholarships.
It's not price fixing lol. Each school determines what the school costs. It can set tuition at $15,000 per year...or $100,000...or whatever.
Students that *choose to* attend a Division III school make a conscious decision to pay the cost...knowing there are no athletics-based scholarships (but that they can get financial aid based on need and merit...like every other student). Again, the students make the decision to attend...they are not forced to.
Absolutely silly lawsuit.
We should never forget that Yurachek fumbled having her coach at Arkansas. @JohnNaborsShow
