Hilarious that the Conservatives have a full slate before the NDP, its like the NDP surprised themselves by calling the election. #bcpoli

Sir. I am an outsider but it seems to me that you still had 2 years left on your mandate to execute your plan.

Pour a drink out tonight for every BC municipal campaign that has been at it for way too long, only to lose the next month of media cycle to a provincial election that no one, except for David Eby's opportunism, asked for.

I recall a time, not that long ago, when people were willing to put egos aside and run together for the betterment of British Columbia. I now live in a world where private investigators are hired to spy on caucus members. Can we please return to when sanity prevailed? #bcpoli

Tonight, the @barenakedladies are performing #OCanada for the @BuffaloBills home opener against the #Motown #Lions. This is a great nod to the many #Canadian fans and season ticket holders who have been crossing the border for years in support of the Lions and #Bills.

It really would be ridiculous opportunism to call a snap provincial election in the middle of the municipal election for literally no other reason than thinking it will be good for his party.

This will be an unpopular opinion on the Right but I think this is kind of dumb, even as a troll. Lake Ontario was given that name on maps by European explorers long before the Canadian province of Ontario was named. There are several cities in America called Ontario -- at least one of them predating the Canadian province by like 100 years -- because the word originates with native tribes in North America. It's not a Canadian invention. Canadians never uniquely owned the lake or the name. So in effect all you're doing here is actually giving them credit for a thing that wasn't theirs to begin with. Yeah it's funny when Canadians are upset I guess or whatever, but Lake Ontario, the name itself, is *American* history dating back many centuries. Not sure how you own Canada by deleting your own history.

Well, let’s see: my dad was a self-made man who became Prime Minister, my mother fled communism and raised a family as well as millions for charity, a brother who has, for 25 years worked to become one of the most important people in the Canadian banking sector, a sister who graduated from Harvard, NYU, raised the four most incredible kids you’ve ever met, was an investment banker, a lawyer and a cabinet minister, and another brother who despite the entrepreneur-killing policies of the liberal party of Canada, has built a wildly successful business. You’re absolutely right: I am the dumbest Mulroney. Keep putting goodness into the world, Dean.

Earlier today I reached out to @KerryLynneFindl to congratulate her on her historic win, and also to wish her the wisdom, judgement, and fortitude required to chart a path ahead that best delivers on the potential of B.C., to the benefit of all.
I have also reached out to @NVanCaroline @PeterMilobar and @yuri_fulmer wishing them well as life returns to something resembling “normal” in the days ahead.
As I have said often in the last six months, it was a privilege to take part in the competition.

To our dedicated volunteers, team members, my campaign co-chairs - Dianne Watts, Ed Fast, and Teresa Wat - and the respected leaders who endorsed me: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
When this campaign launched in January, the room was filled with hope, optimism, and a shared belief that British Columbia can do better.
Since then, I have been humbled by the members, volunteers, supporters, and new friends who have stepped forward, worked hard, and helped carry our message of change and prosperity across this beautiful province.
I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you.
Together, we will get B.C. back on track.

What an incredible journey.
When I launched this campaign on January 15, I did so with hope, optimism, and a deep belief in the future of British Columbia.
Since then, I have travelled to every corner of this province - meeting with members, community leaders, elected officials, volunteers, seniors, families, and so many British Columbians who are ready for change.
Everywhere I went, one message was clear: experience matters. It matters because B.C. needs serious leadership, real solutions, and a plan to restore hope, prosperity, and opportunity.
That is why I put forward my Five-Point Premier’s Plan - including a 20% personal income tax cut, a plan to get the books in order, and a clear plan to get our economy growing again so you, your family, and your community can prosper.
As we head into election night this evening, I am deeply grateful to the members of this party and proud of the true blue conservative values we have showcased across British Columbia.
Together, we can - and we will - get B.C. back on track.

As this leadership campaign enters its final few days, I want to sincerely thank Trevor Halford for his service as Interim Leader of the Conservative Party of BC.
Trevor stepped up at an important time for our party and our province. While the NDP have left British Columbia facing serious challenges after years of mismanagement, Trevor has done a tremendous job holding them accountable and keeping our team focused on what matters.
Thank you, Trevor - your leadership and commitment are truly appreciated. If I am successful, I can't wait to work with you to get BC back on track.
And to all BC Conservative members: the countdown is on!
Voting closes Friday, May 29 at 8:00 am.
I would be honoured to have your #1 spot on the ballot - or your consideration for #2 - so we can work together to bring prosperity back to British Columbia.

I have to say unreservedly that @TrevHal has done a very admirable job as interim leader. Whoever is successful in the leadership contest is walking into a clean office with a functioning purpose.
Trevor Halford's time as interim leader of the BC Conservatives is coming to an end.
How was his experience? What's changed in the party since he assumed the role? Does he have any future leadership ambitions?
