We have all witnessed election outcomes when Republicans won, and others where Democrats won. When the Republicans win, there are usually unhinged hysteria and violence on the streets, on social media, on university campuses. Now that the Republicans were trashed by the Democrats, have you seen anyone engage in such behaviour on the Republican side?

I decided to sleep on JD Vanceโs post from yesterday before commenting on it substantively. I have done so, and given it substantial thought.
My verdict? Here is what I believe that post actually was saying:
โYeah we lost the election big time. But itโs not my fault, itโs the fault of the guy who made me who I am, and to whom I owe my entire political career. If only everybody had listened to me everything would have been OK. Oh yeah, Iโm specifically throwing my boss under the bus, but I am also impliedly throwing Rubio and Hegseth under the bus too because I want to be President. No, Iโm not going to talk about the way my lunatic belief that the Iranian mullahs could be reasoned with is really what brought us to this point. Iโm also not going to talk about how my hatred of Israel and alliance with fellow Israel-haters and groyper-adjacent loons like Tucker chases away far more voters than it attracts. In other words, Iโm not taking responsibility for anything and blaming everybody else. And Iโm dropping this literally hours after the election is over so I can set the narrative now before anybody else has a chance to talk that says Iโm the good guy, that MAGA is dead, and that Iโm the leader of what comes next. No, I did not coordinate this with Trump, I just told him Iโm going to do it. And he will say itโs OK because if he does not heโll get savaged with reports that he has lost control of the Presidency, which was kind of what I wanted. Itโs DC. Loyalty does not matter. Vote for me for President.โ
Does loyalty matter? I believe it does, because if someone is disloyal to the man who made them, they will also be disloyal to the voters who put them into office.
My 2c.
(And yes, if Vance is the nominee Iโll still vote for him over communist jihadists, but now is the time to debate these kinds of issues inside our own movement.)

Adam Carolla says it took 10 DAYS before he heard about the concealed carry dad who ran into his daughtersโ elementary school and took down the shooter.
He thought about it, and he knows exactly why it didnโt get more airtime.
โIT F*CKS UP EVERY THEME THEY HAVE ABOUT GUN OWNERSHIP.โ
CAROLLA: โThat was the first time Iโve ever seen a picture of this guy [Kaylub Giamanco], heard him talk.โ
โHe says, โI didnโt save enough kids, and Iโm sorry to the parents of the kids who I couldnโt save.โ And now he canโt sleep at night because he can still hear the screams of the children begging for their lives.โ
This man should be a household name. A national hero.
But as Carolla explains, his story wrecks the picture of gun owners the media wants in your head.
โThe theme of the dad who wanted to protect his kids ... and put an end to this school shooter is NOT a theme they like.โ
โMSNBC, CNN, LA Times, THEY HATE THIS STORY.โ
Daniel Penny, meanwhile?
CAROLLA: โThat guy is everywhere because they love the theme of a blonde-haired guy choking out a black guy.โ

โGet involved in the fight. You can complain like a child. You can get mad. You can rip your hair out.
People laugh when I tell these stories, but itโs not funny.
You canโt get permits for the green economy. It takes 5 to 7 years to get hooked into the grid.
Thereโs a bridge between New York and New Jersey that was falling down. It took 12 years to get the permit to rebuild it. What is that about?
And we accept it. I wouldnโt accept it at JPMorgan.
The American public knows this is going on. They know that various interest groups get benefits from whichever party is in government.
They should stop the virtue signaling and deal with what can make this country grow.
Create equal opportunity. That was the dream of this country.

In 1991 his wife called him from Romania about a three year old boy who could not walk and could not talk.
Here is what she said on that phone call.
"this guy's so much more than we can handle"
They took him anyway. He became their sixth child.
His name was Michael, and the man on the other end of that phone was Ernie Johnson.
Within a year the diagnosis came back. Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It is a genetic disease that takes the muscles one at a time, and it mostly takes boys.
Michael went into a wheelchair. Later he needed a ventilator to breathe.
Here is what Ernie Johnson says about getting that news.
"What's amazing is the value reveals itself."
He lived 33 years.
Here is how his father put it when it ended.
"This guy we adopted from Romania in 1991 and diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy lived a miraculous life of 33 years."
And then this.
"We lost michael johnson today and we're crushed. But we also know we'll see him again, and that sustains us."
That was five years ago.
Today Ernie Johnson announced that this is his last season hosting Inside the NBA. Thirty-seven seasons in that chair.
He wanted one thing understood.
"Just to be clear, I'm not retiring."
"Just cutting back."
He called it a turning of the page. Thirty-seven seasons means he was in that chair before most of the people watching him were born.
He is still doing March Madness and other work for TNT and CBS. He also started a production company and named it 32 Bowties, and the whole point of it is telling feel-good sports stories.
Of course it is.
Now go back one more generation.
His father was Ernie Johnson Sr., who pitched for the Milwaukee Braves, was a teammate of Hank Aaron, and was on the 1957 team that won the World Series. He went 7 and 3 with four saves that season. Those Braves are still the last team from Milwaukee to win one.
Then he put the ball down, went into a booth, and called Braves games from 1962 until 1999.
So the son is stepping back from a microphone 64 years after his father first sat down behind one.
Be straight about it. A man leaving a studio show is not a tragedy. He is 70 years old, he had a long run, he is not even fully leaving, and plenty of people would take that deal.
But here is the line he keeps coming back to, from a speech he gave in 2019.
"There's value in everybody."
He did not learn that in a television studio.
He learned it from a boy in Romania that his own wife said was more than they could handle.

JUST IN: Democrat operatives spent months finding Alaskans with the same name as Republican Dan Sullivan so they could confuse voters and help Mary Peltola (D), according to The New York Times.
A staffer was tasked with finding every voter named "Dan Sullivan" in the state and then contacting them and coaxing them to run for Senate.
The plan worked when a man named "Dan J. Sullivan," a retired teacher from a small fishing village that can only be reached by air or ocean, announced he was running.
He has held no campaign events, has given very few interviews, and has voted for Democrats in the past.
As The Times reported, the Peltola campaign claims it had no involvement in recruiting "Dan J. Sullivan"; however, documents suggest the campaign was actively involved and that the operation was "much broader."
"The endeavor, which was internally called the ballot composition project, involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs," the NYT reports.
Peltola was reportedly "definitely aware" of what was going on, according to Peltola's former campaign manager Elisa Rios.
Alaska is expected to be one of the closest elections this cycle, and as of now, Peltola is the only Democrat, while there are two Dan Sullivans and another republican named Gerald Heikes, who was also allegedly recruited to take votes from Senator Sullivan.
The New York Times reports that they have evidence from *12 people* who participated in the plot.
These communists will do something like this and then tell you they are defending democracy.

Palmer Luckey says analysts claiming it's too expensive to manufacture in the US are lying to protect megacorps
"I think I have a more realistic view than almost anybody. One of the problems with all these analysts that are telling you that it's going to cost $37,000 to build an American iPhone or $100,000 to buy an American computer."
"They're trying to prop up a status quo that the megacorporations want to keep going. They want to outsource everything. They want to hire cheaper non-American labor."
"They are willing to say and do anything to convince you that it can't be fixed, that it can't come back, that America is this helpless, neutered, post-relevant empire, and it is just not the case."
"How do I know that? Because I have to make stuff in America every day because I work in the defense industry. The stuff that Anduril makes every day is not actually that different from a computer. My drones are basically computers. They have memory, a GPU, a CPU, sensors, batteries, a rugged integration."
"The only difference between an Anduril attack drone and a laptop is a keyboard and a screen. That is not that hard to figure out, especially for a guy like me who started Oculus and comes from the consumer electronics space."
"We're not going to let people lie about what America can and can't do anymore. We're just going to do it."

There was once a shepherd who found a wolf caught in a snare at the edge of his pasture.
The wolf begged to be freed.
โI was hungry,โ it said. โThat is all. Spare me, and I will remember your mercy!โ
The shepherd cut the rope.
The next night, three lambs were gone.
Again the shepherd found the wolf. Again it pleaded. Again the shepherd convinced himself that mercy was proof of his goodness.
By winter, half the flock was dead.
An old farmer finally asked him, โWhy do you keep freeing it?โ
The shepherd answered, โBecause I refuse to become cruel.โ
The farmer looked at the empty field and said, โThen understand what you have done. You were not merciful to the wolf. You were cruel to everything that trusted you to keep them safe.โ
Thatโs the lesson.
Mercy without judgment isnโt virtue. When someone openly intends to destroy what has been entrusted to you, endless forgiveness doesnโt make you righteous. It makes everyone behind you pay for your vanity.
